“The food was phenomenal we ordered just about every appetizer and dessert, and absolutely loved everything. From what I could tell, all of the items we reviewed were naturally gluten free. While it isn’t specified on the menu, it appeared that the offerings may be entirely gluten free, which was a pleasant surprise.
The space itself is quite small, so it didn’t feel ideal for a larger group. Our party of five (two adults and three kids) definitely felt a bit crowded, and for the same reason it’s probably not the most child friendly spot. That said, the décor is beautiful, the staff was very friendly, and the overall vibe was lovely. My husband and I definitely plan on going back for a date night to try some of the main courses“

“The dishes are so intentional. You can tell there is a lot of love and thought that went into each dish. The cornbread and scotch eggs are divined!“

“I’m not an adventurous drinker, but my husband is and we loved the idea of a mystery cocktail! He rolled the dice and now we’re hooked. I don’t drink alcohol, but Tuane helped me through and we brainstormed together for a delicious mocktail. When the mystery drink arrived she was so knowledgeable about it!

“We are in Cambridge for a few nights and found Dali being a restaurant nearby. It turned out to be an unexpected surprise. Luckily we made reservation as the restaurant was packed. The menu was extensive; the service was friendly; the meal was served quickly and delicious and the atmosphere was great. We ordered 4 tapas plus an order of focaccia and a bottle of wine. All come to less than $100 not including tips. A must try in Cambridge, MA.“

“Run don't walk to Pagu for absolutely scrumptious food that weaves together Japanese and Spanish Basques Cuisines! A must order is the Tuna Collar - I've never had anything like it - it's huge, great for a crowd, bone-suckingly good (literally have done that) served with rice and nori! Also make sure you don't miss Tracy Chang's homemade nonalcoholic sparking teas - my favorites are the genmaicha and the hojicha - again I've never tasted a drink like this anywhere else. And then you have to end the night with a Basque Cheesecake - I particularly love when Pagu makes a seasonal Matcha or Ube Basque cheesecake! Pagu's dishes and drinks are across the board innovative but also welcoming and absolutely delicious!“

“We had a very large party but the staff was more than accommodating and the food was great. The menu isn't the largest but what they do have was presented well and tasted good. The atmosphere was great with a wide selection of music from the DJ and they even took a request. I took a trip to the bar and the staff there was great as well. They started with a free water and were very quick with the drink request. I'll keep this one on my list. Thank you Rose!“

“Really love coming to this place for weekend brunch + live music! The so-called ‘vip’ tables have minimum of $50 per person, but the table is so low that it’s hard to eat.. do the regular tables if possible. Their focaccia is good and other food decent as well. Wish they had more shareables.“

“Had a good dinner here with a group of friends. We shared a bunch of different tapas/meals, which was a nice way to try a variety of things. I enjoyed the BBQ shrimp, fried chicken sliders and burger sliders. The biscuits were ok.

We made a reservation ahead of time and were seated right away. Parking outside was tight on Saturday night, but there was space in the garage.“

“Food: WOW! Their tapas were amazing. Best spot I have ever had in Boston. We ordered 4 among the 3 of us and it was the perfect portion. I will be dreaming about all of them!!!

Service: Tapas were pretty fast! Service was good. No complaints.

Ambiance: SO clean inside! Bathrooms were super clean, lots of space to put coats and stuff too. Loved the interior design as well.“

“Had a great time with some friends at Matadora. Food was great. Love tapas because you can sample different foods. Drinks were delicious and the we had the best server. only drawback is that it's in the hotel lobby and you can hear the noise from the pool on the other side.“

Why I wasnt a big fan of this place:
1. My white wine wasnt very chilled and my friend’s paloma cocktail wasnt a hit.
2. And before it has been 1.5 hours even they just brought the check to the table which is kind of a mood killer for me.
3. When I asked to get black pepper for the pizzas, one waiter said we dont have it…. then a few minutes later it was brought in a little dish - how do you not have peppper in a pizza restaurant?“

“They offer small plates and standard entrees. We had 2-3 small plates per person which was just right. They have lovely cocktails as well as nice beer and wine selections. We enjoyed our meal and look forward to returning to try more items.“

“We got there at 5 when it opened and that's the way to do it! Noise level was fine but by 6 it was LOUD and the place was only 75% full. My wife and I ordered a total of five dishes plus two desserts, and everything was really good. I especially recommend: - The burrata - The egg and potato omelet - The Brussels sprouts (but be sure to ask for extra sauce) The sliders were good, but they could have used more flavor. The flan for dessert was great. The chocolate churros were okay. Service was exceptionally good.“

“Wonderful place to eat on our trip to Boston. Went with my dad and then took my wife there 3 days later for a different experience. Owner was kind and friendly. Birthday party was in the middle room and the whole restaurant sang along.“

“Had my first visit to Bootleg Special last night and it did not disappoint. Every aspect of the meal, from the creative drinks to the delicious appetizers to the fantastic main course was outstanding. Our server, Alex, was attentive and very pleasant. “I ordered my daughters 6th birthday cake from La Casa Del Pandebono and it literally the best experience I’ve ever had with any business. Not only was the custom cake beautiful and delicious, they provided a level of exceptional customer service that I didn’t even know existed. The “Tangled” cake included a beautiful edible gold crown as it’s center piece, and it was packaged separately. Despite my best efforts to handle it carefully, I accidentally broke it the night before the birthday party. I texted the owner asking if he has recommendations for me to reassemble it (knowing it was unlikely, but I was desperate). He immediately responded and asked for my address, letting me know he’d deliver a new one when he closed the store (I live in another town). I was shocked at his generosity and beyond grateful. As an expression of gratitude, a sent him an additional tip which he politely attempted to reject (I wouldn’t allow it…haha). In return, he delivered not only the grown, but an order of birria tacos and an empanada (which I was admiring when I went to pick up the cake) - literally the best tacos I’ve ever had. I cannot emphasize how touched I was by this experience. La Casa Del Pandebono is a rare gem - baked goods that are truly a work of art, and incredible food that is only surpassed by the unbelievable customer service. I will be a customer for life.“

“There was a pop up chef there serving some dope carriers food. The cabbage was delicious as well as the prawns in piri piri sauce. I took my girl her for our one year meet-a-versary and it was perfect. The dim lighting and comfortable seating made for a really special night. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely come back. The drinks were tasty as well!“

“Charming old school beer hall. Sadly, it was damaged in 2018 due to a fire upstairs, and never re-opened. As of early 2019, the building appears to be for sale, so it looks like the closure may end up being permanent. :-(“

“Very busy Saturday night service at the Moody Street Waltham location but the waitress, bartender and kitchen timed everything perfectly. Loved the ginger mojito and Hemingway Daiquiri. Table a shared Squash blossom salad, beef empanadas, pork tacos and lamb chops. Salad, empanadas and tacos stood out. Pan roasted chicken dish was fantastic and other family/friends raved about the bass and yuca fries didn't disappoint. We split the churros and loved them too. Easy parking behind building (free after 6pm). We will return :-)“
