“The donuts, especially the honey dip, are very good. They do need to either have a website or update their social media pages to reflect closings/vacation or when donuts are not available so customers don't make the trip out here for nothing.“

“Just went here for the first time ever and WOW! First off, omg amazing donuts - I've had a lot of donuts and these are sooo good, they have just moved to the top of my book! Second, everyone in there (and waiting on the sidewalk) was so friendly! It is like this place emits good vibes and puts everyone in a good mood. A truly wonderful experience! Oh and third, surprisingly good coffee - you never know what you are going to get from a basic drip coffee maker but it was good! Thank you all for turning my grumpy morning (I had forgotten my coffee at home, which was the whole reason I went in there in the first place) into a lovely day!“

“We used Union Square Donuts catering as a dessert option for our wedding in Cambridge, and they were tremendous. We had a donut wall to go alongside our wedding cake and it was a big hit with our guests. They provided us with a tasting box months prior to the event so we were able to choose the flavors we wanted for the wedding, including a vegan option for certain guests. We would highly recommend hiring Union Square Donuts to add a special touch to any private event!“

“I first met the owner since he was selling kombucha at farmers’ markets back before he started the donut business. I’ve always found their donuts somewhat variable although most are excellent. Having moved to the neighborhood of this shop I came in and tried their vegan Chai Apple Cider. It was delicious and tasted like fall. They had four vegan flavors when I came in.“

“My favorites are the Boston Creme Donuts and the Elephant Ears. I also love that they have a wide variety of flavored coffees. I recently tried the "egg bites", they have two different flavors and they are both delicious. I am so glad the drive-thru and take-out is still available. “I got 2 vegan donuts and they were so good! somewhere between a cake and yeast donut. I had pink lemonade and cinnamon sugar. I love when companies include different allergy or dietary preferences. It is always appreciated. So glad I checked them out. Plus the market was a cool vibe“

“I didn’t even like donuts until I tried the Boston cream donut from Blackbird. Now I randomly crave donuts at 8 pm when they’ve already closed and I have to (impatiently) wait until the next morning. Anyway - these are the best, softest donuts I’ve ever had and you have to try them too. Plus the staff is super friendly and the coffee is great!“

“My sister and I grabbed food from here before driving back home. We don’t have Honey Dew Donuts where we live, and now I think Dunkin’s bacon, egg, and cheese croissants will never be the same to me. These were SO much better! The large size of the cold brew was much larger than I anticipated, which is always welcome on a road trip. Also, where I’m from customers would have been so rude in a place that small forming a line. Everyone there was so polite and friendly. Overall a positive experience.“

“We tried two flavors as part of a Boston underground donut tour. So they were brought to a table, my tour guide in pieces ready for us to share. We tried the brown butter cruller and a hibiscus glazed yeast doughnut. I thought both were excellent. The cruller was awesome that morning when it was fresh, but I took some leftover samples home and I could definitely tell by the end of the day It was dry and didn't taste as good. The cherry and hibiscus glazed doughnut fared better throughout the day. we had an excellent experience and the donuts were very fresh and tasty. The unique flavors are an awesome novelty to try. I like the atmosphere of the food court and it has a clean restroom available as well, with a reasonable amount of seating.“

“Ordered the strawberry yogurt slush and it was truly amazing! I chose the lowest sugar level and you can really taste the fresh fruit in there (the natural strawberry aroma). The yogurt is creamy and flavorful, and the crystal boba (not sure if that’s the name, the slightly crunchy one) in the drink is fresh too.

“Best donuts in the area! Their donuts are incredible in flavor. They’re light, fluffy, and delicious - my kids request them every week! Our favorites are vanilla glaze, everything donut, and the Apple fritter. Sometimes they have savory tarts which are SO good. We especially love the pride donuts they have every June. Blackbird employees are always so friendly and welcoming as well, which is also appreciated. Blackbird also delivers through DoorDash, and the donuts are always delivered fresh. The Newton location does not have a bathroom, fyi but that does not detract from the amazing food! Thank you Blackbird for being such a wonderful addition to our community!“

“This has always been my favorite honey dew location. I’ve done the drive through and sometimes I use grubhub to have it delivered. They take great care in packing your delivery order. The bags are neatly stapled, your coffee has a piece of tape to prevent spilling, and your straw is slid through the top of the stapled bag. It’s a nice and neat package. The food is always great and I love their coffee. They are always very friendly and efficient at their drive through. Thanks Honey Dew!“

“I have been getting my morning coffee here for years. They are always very kind to me and my dog, Banjo. Someone usually manages to sneak Banjo some bacon and that makes us both very happy.
My only complaint is that one specific manager has turned off Dunkin Radio and replaced it with some non-english spoken word stuff. I didn't know the content, but no one seems to be into it. Plus, when he's there no one seems to be having fun and they are reluctant to sneak banjo bacon when he is there.“

“Got the brown butter hazlenut crunch donut -10/10. I'm normally not even a big donut person, but this was possibly the best donut I've ever had. The softest inside with the best icing/topping!! Iced latte was disappointing only bc they were out of whole milk so the barista made it with half and half but there was so much that the whole drink just tasted like cream :(“

“I’m obsessed with the Portuguese sandwich. Iced coffee is drinkable black, which is all I really care about. Staff has always been helpful and they do their best to get us all served quickly. I couldn’t believe it was a whole honeydew inside the tiny gas station. I’m also a big fan of the coconut donuts.“

“Staff were polite and efficient when I popped in here after a hike at the Breakheart Reservation. We also tried the ghost pepper donut and it's hard to describe properly. The texture of the ghost pepper sprinkles(?) is similar to pop rocks. The heat is very mild and I wouldn't even call it spicy. The frosting is probably strawberry but we're not sure. It works and they balance each other out. An interesting experience but I'll probably stick with jam the next time.“
