I usually go for my standard order of the beef and broccoli combo and the owner has had no issues making accommodations for me when I’ve asked for them. Furthermore, he is genuinely invested in the customers enjoying their food and has even asked for feedback. I’ve been to countless Chinese takeout spots — often times, the food may not go down well or feels like it has too much sauce etc. Not here, and moreover, the quality is reproducible every time I order. “Red Pepper was a good find for authentic Chinese food. We enjoyed the minced beef egg drop soup mushroom soup, called Westlake beef soup in other Chinese restaurants. We loved the dry braised fish fillet and lamb with scallions. However, we did not enjoy the twice-cooked pork bell/bacon. It was bland, too fatty, and lacked much flavor. Bok choy was light and delicious. The service was fast and friendly, and they gave us a pot of tea as soon as we were seated. You also get a discount if you pay cash.“

“Shangra-La catered our 2025 New Year's Eve celebration for over 90 people at a local over 55 community. The food was just amazing. Everyone who came was commenting on how delicious the food was. Each dish was so well prepared. Shirley was absolutely amazing to work with and helped us to create the menu. I’ll be honest, it’s not the greatest Chinese I’ve ever had. Definitely run-of-the-mill, greasy, and sometimes too sweet, but despite that, it is really flavorful and is unbeatable for the convenience and price.

I got a big plate with General Tso’s, Pork Fried Rice, and a greasy egg roll hot and FRESH for $8.95 in 2026. $8.95 cash and it was ready in 10 mins. Seriously.

I prefer Saloon 139, but this place is half the price and close by. Would recommend for a quick bite if you don’t mind the quality.“

Everything had a very faint flavor... like spraying perfume on a little sampler card and then walking around with the card to try to smell good... ?‍♀️I probably liked the crab Rangoon the best but I will stick to Wen Hing even though they went down hill too. Mins Wok is also good.
