I recently had one of the most, if not the most, delicious pizzas in my life at Pizza By Rocco in Natick, Mass. Even though it may be considered a hidden gem, I doubt it will be considered a hidden gem for much longer as more and more people hear about it and try the food out for themselves!

Each time I have introduced a friend to Rocco's, every single one of them has said that this is some of the best pizza they've ever had.

The crust has that sweet thin crispy taste, and is cooked to perfection. The sauce always has just the right amount and also has a great taste. The toppings are always fresh, more than generous with the amount given, and expertly balanced. In fact, the pizzas and all of the food items in general are more than generous in terms of how much you're getting. In terms of ambiance, although the store is small it still has an inviting and cozy feel to it, and offers some seating outside. Last but certainly not least, the service is no doubt top shelf service. Everyone here is very friendly, attentive, and lightning-fast with their food preparation. Carol, who takes the orders, legitimately sets the very warm and welcoming tone right away with her effortless affability and enthusiastic aura and smile. Red, the pizza/food maker, is a master at his craft and is very personable too. As one can tell simply by the quality of the food, it is clear to see that Red takes his work seriously and is proficient at his job. All of the people who prepare the food here put their strongest efforts into the process; this is food that is made from a place of sincere love!

Rocco himself is at the shop quite often and he goes above and beyond with regards to looking out for his customers. This aspect was something that truly stood out to me about this place and sets Pizza By Rocco above all the rest for me personally. For example, Rocco is very genuine, and is an incredibly generous person and that generosity spills over into his work. His genuine personality is noticeable right away when you meet him. If a customer has any issue with anything, he makes sure to do whatever it takes to ensure said customer is taken care of and leaves the shop happy and satisfied. Not every store owner makes it a point to do things like that. It just goes to show that Rocco and his fellow workers really care about their customers, which is probably why the store has so many repeat and loyal customers.

The menu has your usual favorites/go-to items, but also has some fun and creative specialty options as well. The Buffalo Chicken thin crust pizza is extremely popular and a must try favorite! One of the specialty options that made a great impression on me was the "Typical Johnny," which can best be described as literally a "Big Mac" on a pizza. The only difference is that the Typical Johnny is even better and tastier than an actual Big Mac!

I cannot stress enough how much I recommend Pizza by Rocco for all the pizza lovers out there, and for those who like to support local businesses. I had such a great experience there that I have been back a bunch of times since my first visit. If you come here to try it out, I can guarantee you that you will be coming back for more. It is just *that* good!

“Food was very well prepared and the food runners delivered it quickly. The waiter himself was a bit slow to visit but quick to run off, once with my unfinished beer glass. Didn't even have enough time to tell him I was not finished. Forgot our bread. Asked if we wanted parm cheese then forgot to bring. The open view kitchen is great. Only thing that bothered me from atmosphere was the acoustics. Difficult to hear people talk at the table.“

“Five of us had an excellent dinner with good service. Small to medium place, right in town.

We came on a weeknight and shared some appetizers. Salad, arancini, tomatoes and mozzarella, all excellent. I had the eggplant parmigiana which came with a side of pasta that tasted homemade. The sauce was very good, an important test for any Italian place.

Vegetarian options: Typical for an Italian restaurant. Pasta, eggplant, salads and veggies. Not a huge selection, but two of us were vegetarian and enjoyed our meals.“

“We hosted a noontime bridal shower here for a group of about 22 people and it was the perfect place for such an event. Jose (the event manager) was so helpful and responsive from day one. He was patient and kind and understanding when we needed to make changes to everything from the menu to decor. I couldn't have asked for a better copilot. Fernando, the bartender, was super helpful, going above and beyond helping us with decor, clean up, etc., and pouring tasty mimosas. I didn't catch the chefs name but their food is ridiculously good! The only thing I didn’t like about the restaurant was that it’s really small, so if it’s crowded, it’s REALLY crowded, cramped, and LOUD. There was a table next to us seating about 10-12 60 something year olds for a birthday, and they were extremely loud. Yelling, hollering, laughing super loudly. After a day at work this was overstimulating and overwhelming for me. This was supposed to be a date night for my husband and I but I’m not so sure we will be going here for a date night again. Maybe just a casual drop in. It doesn’t have the somewhat quiet vibes that an anniversary dinner should have ? I guess these people didn’t know the concept of an inside voice. I know it’s their birthday, but try to be considerate to other patrons and their experience. Thankfully they were really only loud before they got their food and after they were done with it. Lol.“

“The Greek chicken wrap was amazing! Mainly takeout, small place with a few tables. Nice, clean pizza joint atmosphere, but much better food. A little pricey, but a good value, especially considering that it's in a pricey area.
