“The decorative work on these pastries is 5 star. I tried the gluten free hazelnut chocolate cookie and did not like it. It was overwhelmingly cinnamon-y and the texture was like an oatmeal bar rather than a soft cookie. I also didn’t enjoy the vegan oat bar, which tasted overwhelmingly of coconut oil.

I DID enjoy the rooibos tea, which was a French tea brand I had never heard of: mariage freres.

It was a lovely subtle flavor, and the tea bags looked unbleached (though I did not verify that).

I would love to come back and try some of the not vegan or gluten free items, as my bakery impression was that things look amazing but have one controlling taste, but I know there was far more here than I tried.

The Palestinian bread and the flatbread with the green topping (forget what it's called) is a family favorite. We adore these; the flatbreads are a great quick lunch. “I am so grateful that a place like this exists. As someone with a severe peanut allergy I can never have baked goods. I also have a severe allergy to peas and pea protein which can be a common pairing of allergies. I did find that there are vegan pastries in the same case that are made with butter that contains pea protein so I didn’t feel 100% safe eating the baked goods. If they were to be more separate or the vegan baked goods didn’t contain peas, I would be here every single weekend. The staff was SO nice and went over the top to ensure I knew ingredients. Highly recommend but with caution if you have a legume / pea allergy like me!“

She developed an assortment of mini cupcakes and macarons that perfectly matched our wedding colors, flavor preferences, and accommodated the groom's allergies. She was so organized and easy to work with and handled all of the day-of setup and breakdown flawlessly. Our desert table felt so personal and we got so many compliments from guests. The melon pan was really good and I enjoyed the sweet crust. I just wish the inside was a bit more “cloudy”/fluffy (less doughy) like traditional melon pans. The Chocolate Croissant was amazing. Really liked the chocolate filling and the flakiness of the croissant.
The matcha latte was pretty good, but a bit too sweet. The coffee in the iced latte was a bit too acidic for my taste. All their baked goods are pretty cheap tho!“

“Such a gem in the neighborhood! Whenever I’m in Arlington I make sure to come to Quebrada. They have great coffee in generous sizes, excellent breakfast options (ham and cheese croissants, breakfast sandwiches), and yummy baked goods. They had the cutest sugar-decorated shortbread cookies this week! The space itself is pretty small, not a lot of seating, but some nice window spots if you can get them. The staff are so friendly and helpful!“

“I love When Pigs Fly bread! My favs are the Oat and Honey, 6 Grain and Pumpkin Seed, and basically any of the sweet breads! The English Muffin loaf is good too.

The staff are all super kind and helpful. I saw some negative reviews on here that find fault with the service, and to them I say: hello? Are you okay? If you can’t get through a bread order (which should be a simple, short interaction I’d say??) without beefing with a staff member, I invite you to consider that *you* might be the problem. :)“
