“This is a cozy little bakery in Newton. There are a good variety of pastries and cakes offered. You don't need to order cakes ahead of time, as there were several on display and available when we went. Staff were friendly, plenty of street (metered) parking. Decent prices and the things we tried were delicious. The cookies and cream cake looked good and tasted great. The lobster tail was of decent size and the cream filling was excellent and not overly sweet or bland. I'd come here again for cakes and pastries.“

As I was never a big fan of (overly) sweet delights, I've never bothered to try them despite hearing about it until recently at an event. I was truly surprised as I didn't just take a bite BUT finished the whole thing in less than a minute (once again, a pretty big feat for someone who doesn't prefer sweet treats). It wasn't overly sweet like normal donuts and the texture is far more delightful and chewy as much as it was moist. The flavors were potent and quite addicting. “I have tried many of and love all their freshly-baked bread products. Breads (sourdough, whole wheat, challah and others), baguettes, and bagels. And they sell related products like maple syrup, etc.IMO one secret advantage they have is that they are a sourdough bakery. A co-owner told me during my last visit that not just their sourdough bread, but also their whole wheat, cinnamon swirl, and others are sourdough (no sourdough baguettes yet).FYI, sourdough bread acts as a prebiotic, which means that the fiber in the bread helps feed the “good” bacteria in your intestines. These bacteria are important for maintaining a stable, healthy digestive system. Sourdough is also lower in gluten than other forms of bread.“

“I was recently shopping at Crumbl Cookie at the Dedham Plaza. My wife and I were passing on by when she asked me to look online about it while I was waiting for her while she went into Stsr Market. So I checked out what Crumbl Cookie was all about and decided when she came out that we would go over there and check it out. Upon entering I was quite shocked about how big the baking facilities were. But not to impressed with the amount of space for customers to be waiting at. Their were no chairs to sit while waiting for your order or to even sit down to eat and enjoy a cookie. I ordered a Banana Nut bread cookie, while I also ordered a Snickdoodle cookie, we also ordered a waffle cookie which came with a side of syrup, and last but not least I wish that I could remember the cookie that we ordered but I can't remember. When we got home after eating dinner we got into the cookies and let me tell you that this was the best Snickerdoodle cookie that I've ever had. It was on the sweet side but it didn't deter me from eating it all and wishing that I had another one. MY wife and my mother in-law both enjoyed their cookies as well. All in all we would highly recommend that people give the Crumbl a chance to try out some delicious cookies and also from what I understand is that they change their menu every week with different varieties of cookies so never the same dull menu. The veg was ok but not my favorite. I have been eating Eastern Lamejun for decades. The store is chock full of middle eastern delights.“

“Alev baked us a delicious 3-tier red velvet wedding cake. We got 6 different cake variations to try of our choosing. They were all really tasty! My wife and I do not normally like red velvet cakes and were reluctant at first to include this but we tried it nonetheless. We are so happy we did because the red velvet was out of this world. It was so good we ended up choosing that as our wedding cake flavor. Everyone who ate the cake told us how amazing it was! Alev also decorated the cake beautifully. She worked well with our florist to make it look exactly like how we wanted. Furthermore, Alev baked us a bunch of good food for our after-party like baklava, cake pops, and babkas.
