“I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was here, especially under the new management and ownership. There’s definitely some noticeable improvement, though the front-of-house operations could use a bit more coordination. The order pickup process felt a little disorganized, and the girl at the counter—while trying her best—seemed a bit overwhelmed and carried a touch of sass that didn’t help matters.

That said, the food was a standout. The fried chicken bowl was exceptionally fresh and flavorful—far better than expected. Burgers were solid, cooked well, and satisfying. The fries, on the other hand, were a bit too thick and had an off taste I couldn’t quite get past. Lastly, the chicken parm came in a massive portion and was actually quite decent.

Overall, worth a visit—and with just a few front-end improvements, this place could really shine.”

“i never leave reviews but after today I felt so obligated. I was having a ROUGH day up until picking up my Subway order. My mom placed it online and I picked it up for us to have together on our lunch breaks. We got 2 sandos, 2 drinks, and 2 chips. Well I’m an idiot and I put my phone and wallet in the brown paper bag holding the sandos and chips. And right as I was walking out to my car, bam the paper bag broke and chain reaction I watch one of our drinks spill all over the sidewalk. Next thing I know, the subway employee who gave me my order was knocking on the window, telling me to come back in. And she already had another cup, straw, and lid waiting for me at the counter ? after a bad day I just thought this was so kind of her and I couldn’t help but share. Thank you Subway ?”

“The local Greek Pizza shop is here and in the center of Norfolk. The owner's can be a little short, but they are kind people when you get to know them. They also support many local teams. The food is exactly what I expected, price too, and it is convenient.”

“The usual DD. Very standardized. You know exactly what you're getting. It's pretty good. I have my go-to's and they rarely disappoint. However I do feel the price increases are more for profit and less for cost of goods and service.”

“I love the food there. The iconic number 9 is always good. however the turkey Thanksgiving style is awesome. so isn't the quality quantity of all their sandwiches. I get the wraps but their sub rolls are so good also. Love the Southwest chicken. That's a great sandwich. also in the plainville location I found that a lady by the name of Rosa that works there.... she is incredible. she makes my sandwiches like to order! it's always perfect and I'm a fussy eater. when you have great staff people like Rosa and great food. it cannot be beat. I've been going to D'Angelo's for many years. this particular one in Plainville is very very good.”
