50 Best Chinese Restaurants near North Reading

“got takeout, went home and egg foo yong had no gravy on it. Called them up and told them about that. Not even two minutes later the woman called back and stated that's the way they make it! I have had this numerous times and there was always brown gravy on it and in container! She was very argumentative. For that reason , we will not be going back! DO BETTER!“

“excellent service , really good food and buy one get one 50 % off sushi on Sunday, Mondays and Tuesdays“

“AMAZING FOOD & ATMOSPHERE!! The Mongolian Beef is incredible!!!!“

“Great food,we always order to go. I highly recommend Tung!s. Taste. Food is always fresh, delicious and service is great“

“Great prices and quality. The food is always fresh, never greasy, not loaded with sodium, plenty of options. My favorite is the Appetizer Lunch or Dinner, you pick 3 and can add extra ones for a modest price. It's a mini PuPu platter with none of the things you don't want. Everyone in my office LOVES this place. We stopped ordering from the local well known place, both have excellent food, but again, love the options and price.“

“My daughter & I went to Wei’s Restaurant for the first time…we were craving Lobster Ginger Scallion and they had a great twin lobster special so we chose Wei’s…It was a Monday and our usual place was closed….Im so happy we found Wei’s!!!!! We had amazing spring rolls that were so fresh and light crunchy and delicious! The best I ever had! Then we got the Peking Ravioli and they were also homemade! Not those regular hard ones they were like pillows of dough wrapped around a very tasty filling! Again the best I ever had! We had a couple of excellent cocktails and the Lobster Ginger Scallion did not disappoint! You can choose from the list of different cooking styles for your twin lobsters as well! The owner was so helpful and sweet I cannot wait to go back! Well done Wei’s!“

“the downside is the delivery charges cost $7 so I can't order regularly too expensive“

“Got a combination plate and it’s easily enough for two and under 20 bucks. The chicken fingers were perfectly cooked and the correct ratio of chicken to batter 🙌. Chicken wings were very tender, and they don’t skimp at all on the chicken and broccoli. Service was efficient, quick, and kind. Will definitely return here and try some different things.“

“Very nice inside! Like the other reviews said, don’t be fooled by the outside! Excellent service and nice food presentation! For us the General Tso’s chicken could have been spicier but we know that’s not for everyone. Overall very good.“

“The staff here are so nice. We got the three rice combo and it was enough for two people to split. We tried the roast duck, char siu bbq pork, and pork belly. The char siu was our favorite.

This restaurant is take out only and only has street parking. It is right across the street from the Oak Grove T stop.“

“First time ordering here . It was delicious.“

“Very good food even listens to modifications, and always gets them right. This is the only place I go to for Chinese food now.“

“amazing food one of the best meals I've had. 😋 😍 5 stars“

“Best Chinese food ever!! drinks awesome...love the Lychee Martini...Best sushi, General Gau chicken, pork fried rice etc etc...always top notch food. it was very busy and service can be challenging but staff always smiling and tremendous efforts made. Thank you to all that made a wonderful meal“

“Love the place, especially Kevin, the bartender. Good service, friendly atmosphere, this is where we celebrate friends birthdays and other celebrations“

“Absolutely love this place! We have been here a few times already and always have a full belly no matter what, even with left overs 🥹😁! Service is very nice and amazing as well 😊! Thank you for the incredible food 😌!“

“Let me just say… Wow. Never in my entire life had I eaten such a delicious meal. The flavors are more than simple condiments, but a careful and considerate dedication to the true nature of Chinese food. People, these guys know what’s up.“

“Very good food and service“

“Absolute brilliant Chinese, never had a bad meal from here, 100% best around, highly recommend“

“The best takeout restaurant for sushi and Chinese food in Melrose!“

“Tried it for the first time today. I really enjoyed the Hot Sour hand pulled noodle soup. I got extra noodles and medium spice. I will definitely be ordering again. The broth was packed with flavor, it all arrived hot and well packed. Give it a try.“

“Great spot amazing food and great owner. I personally love the summer shrimp.“

“I love coming here. I used to live across the street. The food is still amazing The portions are more than enough you’ll have leftovers The owners are very sweet respectful always attentive to your needs always checking if everything is OK. The food is fresh hot Definitely visit every time in town.“

“BEST CHINESE FOOD WITHIN 50 MILES. 5 stars without a doubt. The food is always amazing. Ask for extra duck sauce.
Only issue with the place and believe me you'll learned to ignore them because of how good the food is, sometimes when they say 20 minutes for pick up its more like 45 minutes but that's fine. Their prices seem to be on par with other Chinese food places in the area, in my opinion all Chinese food is over priced but hey can't fault them for wanting to make money. Their food is well worth the price. we spend about $65 every time we go. It's enough food to make 2 adults uncomfortably full with enough left overs to do it again the next day. It's just as good reheated.“

“Food is great when received fresh, they’re done quickly so better to just pick it up in my opinion.
I love the crab rangoons, the general tsao’s chicken, the veggie lo mein.
The establishment itself is outdated but it adds charm to the place, I love it.
Boneless spareribs are great, 😊 highly recommend this place for Chinese“

“Always quality food, and top notch friendly service. I will always highly recommend Su Changs, as a great dining experience.“

“Really good service came in to order some take out for the family was a busy day so I had a bit of a wait so I left and came back and had a different cashier who regardlessly knew who I was and what I ordered and immediately grabbed it for me. Food was great“

“Great atmosphere, service, sushi & drinks!“

“They're very nice & I enjoy their food. It's in a mall food-court which is kept clean by staff & hopefully good behavior of customers, so lower your expectations. They control only themselves & their food.

Kid-friendliness: It's a mall.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes. It's a mall in the USA.“

“China wok is the only restaurant I’ve ever been to that gets it right & is 10/10 100% of the time. The staff is fantastic. The food is just as amazing. I moved away a few years back and I constantly crave & miss their food. Their crab rangoon is truly unmatched & I’ve yet to find anyone’s who comes close. If you have the ability to stop in, please do it for those of us previously loyal customers that cannot!“

“I always order out for my family the food is delicious especially there house special fried rice that is so flavorful and bbq spareribs isn’t to sweet it’s just right there is always an abundance of food. Best Chinese food I’ve tasted in lynn. Chicken wings are in some type of breading not like the other places were you can see the hairs on the chicken.I’ve been loyal and stick to this spot as I’ve tried others and food doesn’t compare . Owner is so sweet and it’s family owned they work very hard !!!“

“food and service are awesome. friendly environment. great atmosphere!“

“Treat you like family Food is amazing“

“I used to live down the street from this place years ago. When I moved away I searched and searched to find a place even modestly comparable....Spoiler Alert....no such place exists. I recently moved back into town, and nothing has changed here for the better. It remains the most delicious and fresh Chinese food I've had in years!! I am so glad to be back within driving distance!!“

“It’s cost more than standard Chinese take out, but well worth the treat once in a while“

“I truly loved this place, the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, helpful with suggestions on making food choices, all food was prepared and served with the freshest ingredients, hot, large portions, spicy pickled radish, pork fried rice and Happy family, strongly suggested, drinks were made with fresh juice, not syrupy, a big plus, you gotta try this place, I will definitely be back with more friends, ♥️♥️“

“I know every Chinese restaurant was mobbed yesterday on NYE 12/31/25. On Tuesday 1/30 I placed a phone ordered with Hong Kong Cafe II in Peabody for a 530 pm pickup on NYE. I got there early and the place was mobbed. They called out peoples names as orders where ready. After 30-40 mins of waiting, we determined my phone order was lost, so they took my order on the spot, and prepared it, which was ready in about 10 mins. The food was piping hot and absolutely delicious when I got home. I called the restaurant to compliment them today 1/1/26.“

“The food here is good and for a good price. - Some of the negative review is funny as hell - like the one on yep by
Anna-Marie J who gave this place a one star. - she very nutty in the head. - oh my Grubhub driver won't enter my house and leave the food on the table cause i was showering so i left a negative review. While telling the whole world that they shower and leave there front door unlocked .“

“Good food. Good atmosphere. Good people“

“I got take out at the Golden Ginger for the first time in years, the service was great and the food was all delicious and freshly made to order. I had stopped going there when I had started eating gluten free food, however, I just realized that they now have great gluten free options including my favorite, General Gau's chicken! Family members who don't eat gluten free loved the hot & sour soup, the spring rolls, the boneless honey ribs, and the beef and broccoli. I am definitely going to be going back to eat there as well as for take out. I highly recommend them!“

“Best asian food great service 5 stars ⭐️“

“Fresh food with good portions. Enjoyed a quiet lunch.“

“Love this place great food and service“

“After having visited several less then satisfactory Chinese food restaurants, my mother and I decided to try the Eighty Eight. The food was delicious. We were very pleasantly surprised. We opted to eat in, which we both enjoyed. It's a great (very clean) place to spend a quiet meal with a friend or loved one. You can stay as long as you want, and the owners/staff were very nice.“

“Was so happy to see they were open! It was my first time coming here and boy was I happy after my meal! We ended up getting Chicken in blackbean sauce(Absolutely scrumptious!!!), Padthai, schezuan chicken, Peking raviolis, eggplant with veg and a few other things. I believe I have found my new to go Chinese restaurant!!“

“always a great experience when we go, my favorite dish is the fried lobster👌🏿❤️“

“Best drinks and food and atmosphere“

“Delicious food. It’s the only place I go. Great service very friendly staff. You won’t be disappointed!“
