“Decided to walk through Allston on a grody, misty afternoon and look for some food. Walked in by chance and at my SO’s insistence that we give it a look. I loved everything about the aesthetic, and enjoyed the soft music playing in the background. Being able to choose the ingredients I wanted - knowing they were organic and that they looked more than delicious raw...that was the absolute best part. The gentleman at the front was supremely helpful and answered any question thrown at him - by anyone in the shop. The price was more than worth the amount of food received, and the care extended to us as guests was wonderful. I absolutely would recommend anyone to give this a try. Don’t hesitate to ask a question, you will definitely get an answer. :)“

“JiangNan is one of my favorite, if not number one, Chinese restaurants in Boston. They have such a wide array of authentic Chinese dishes. Most notably, the Peking Duck at JiangNan is top notch. I love the show that is performed next to your table when you order a full duck. Service at the restaurant also is spectacular. The servers are very attentive. I also think the value for the portion, atmosphere, and taste are truly worth it. Whether it’s for a special occasion or just a typical family dinner, JiangNan is worth a visit—or multiple visits.
Dietary restrictions: Dairy-free options are great.“

“It’s an Internet celebrity restaurant, but it’s still worth trying. ?Environment, food, and service are both average. ?Spicy chicken, crispy tofu, and boiled beef are all fresh and well cooked, especially the chicken, which is spicy and fragrant. ??The price is OK? , in short, very good in the United States ?“

“Found this place on Google & Pinterest. So glad we gave it a try. The chicken corn soup was sweet and delicious, we had pork and cabbage dumplings, spring rolls, hot tea, fried rice and kimchi. It was all delicious. I don’t use chop sticks so they brought me a fork. Would highly recommend this place it was busy but we don’t have to wait long for a table and they had a steady line of to go orders going out as well.“

“The food is delicious, the service is very good, and half-price dishes are available from Monday to Thursday, and the environment is clean. There are separate toilets for men and women, with disposable toilet paper and a nice smell. It is a clean and tidy Northeastern restaurant with homely taste.“

“Le service était très rapide, on manquait de rien. Cela dit, il y a eu des erreurs à 2 reprises dans ce que nous avons commandé. La nourriture était délicieux, ils ont une belles variétés de viande et légumes, leur desserts sont super bon, j'étais agréablement surprise par la gelée de oolong que je n'avais jamais goûte avant. J'ai hâte d'y retourner!“

“We were on our way back to our hotel from Porter Square and decided to eat before going inside for the evening. We found Zoe’s on Google and it felt like such a gift. It’s in a mostly residential area; however we did find parking after circling. I wasn’t familiar with the area (in the dark) and I was hungry :) so there may have been easier options.
The food was absolutely scrumptious, fresh tasting and abundant. The spinach was so good, I ate the leftover with my breakfast the next day.
Everything we ordered was tasty.
The customer care was top tier. We felt extra special. I definitely highly recommend and intend to revisit. Thanks so much.
Kid-friendliness: It’s a pleasant, wholesome family friendly environment.“

“Boston is a food desert. It’s great to have edible dishes. I didn’t expect this restaurant to be so authentic. I was really surprised when I ate it for the first time. I grew up eating these in Shanghai. Chunji Shengjian restored to me the taste of my childhood memories:)“

“Chose P.F. chang’s for a quick bite with a friend and had the pleasure of being served by Kory. Best service I have seen in this city. He was attentive, efficient, thorough, kind, considerate and overall a delight. Food arrived in a timely manner as well. Would go back just for Kory. So glad I met this delightful person at a casual middle tier restaurant.“

“Speedy service, delicious food. We had two hand pulled noodle dishes (beef and lamb), along with scallion pancakes and tea eggs. The noodles were a great texture, and very filling.
The atmosphere is very low key, casual. The prices were fair. There is a municipal parking lot around the corner if you can't find a street spot out front. I would definitely return!“

“Very very delicious and comforting. Real deal. Considered dropping a star for slow service but in retrospect I think Head of the Charles this weekend just made everything a little more slow.
Lanzhou beef noodle soup was SO yummy words can’t even describe how the broth made me feel tbh. Lamb skewers were fatty and juicy and bursting with flavor. Mala tofu with preserved egg and rice was a great contrast to the other dishes — light and refreshing (also I love preserved egg with my whole heart). And the osmanthus flavor iced jelly? Slurp.
Picture included of plates made CLEAN.“

“Awesome little restaurant. Very small only a few tables so be prepared for a wait but once you get the food you won’t be disappointed. Very authentic & traditional Cantonese style. Little to no atmosphere though so not as good for dates.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not very wheelchair accessible.“

“The store was really pretty. After making our reservation, we were seated very promptly and got complementary water. The food was okay but some dishes were a little salty. The waitress was really nice and served us with a smile on her face!“

“I didn't have the best experience here recently. The samsa/samosa was chewy and the bread was a bit too thick, but still better than the ones at Jahunger. The dried beef noodles on the other hand were not the best I've had when I ordered takeout. They didn't taste fresh and they stuck together quite a bit, which made me feel like they were cooked earlier in the day.
I've had Ali's separately during an event that catered from their restaurant and found the food to be much better. I don't want to be too harsh given the mix of experiences, but I'd be willing to give them another shot.“

“It's a very simple fly restaurant, but it's not easy to eat authentic Chinese food here. This kind of product is worth recommending. The dishes are very generous. Two people, one meat dish and one vegetarian dish, a bowl of rice, three cans of drinks + tip $50 Yuan, very satisfied with the meal. The price/performance ratio is very high and the service from the boss is also very good. The dining environment is average and there are few seats. If you miss the peak period, you don’t have to wait for a table. Free parking is available in front of the restaurant.“

“I think their chicken wings really taste like McDonald’s spicy chicken wings in China! ! ! ! There is nothing like Korean fried chicken in Boston, but every time you want to eat domestic taste, this is the fried chicken! And that chicken fillet roll really tastes like the old Beijing chicken roll “

“Great for mala (dry) and for other shareable plates. Their large dish can definitely be split between 3 or so people. Would highly recommend recommend if you’re in the area and craving something spicy. Parking is of course very difficult to find, but not unusual for the area.“

“Tried it for the first time today. I really enjoyed the Hot Sour hand pulled noodle soup. I got extra noodles and medium spice. I will definitely be ordering again. The broth was packed with flavor, it all arrived hot and well packed. Give it a try.“

“The fried rice was exceptionally fresh, the ingredients were lively, and the appetizers were well-cooked but not dried out like some other restaurants that do not emphasize that particular detail. The service was excellent and the only downside in my opinion is the small stature of the restaurant itself. Other than that, you can't go wrong.“

“Solid Cantonese restaurant in Boston Chinatown, possibly the best Cantonese option, especially for seafood dishes.
The surf clams were great. We also got whole steamed fish, normally with black bass but because they ran out they substituted with fluke which is actually a little softer. We only wish they'd been a little more transparent with the price of it. However it was very good.
The stir fried pea pod stems weren't very good in our opinion and seemed to not have any garlic. Still a good restaurant though.“

“The dumplings and 3 Fresh were standout dishes. While we did not order the cocktails they clearly were a strength of the presentation in the restaurant. The music was a little loud for dinner time conversation but otherwise it was a fun atmosphere with great food.“

“Been here a few times now and every time has been amazing. The fresh sushi, pineapple rice, the soups, crab rangoons everything was so fresh and good! Service was great too! I love what they did to the tiki island building. There is a Chinese buffet on the other side of town and several sub par Asian restaurants nearby…SO happy to finally have a good good Asian restaurant close to home. Keep up the great work! “Extremely underrated soup noodle joint. As a cuisine, rice noodles — and the myriad bubbling, thick, flavorful broths that they are served with — have not quite had their moment in the spotlight yet, but they are one of the greatest hidden secrets of the Chinese palate. If you think Pho is good, just try this!“

“Best "American" Chinese food around. If you're looking for the old school giant portions of rice and noodles with an entree and an egg roll and soda that used to be heaped into a Styrofoam container, this is the spot.Reasonable prices, giant portions, classic staples like pupu platters, General Tsao's chicken, chicken wings, hot and sour soup, fried shrimp; I've ordered from here countless times and never had a bad meal. They have the lunch plates, plus a section of vegetarian only and healthy steamed/low sodium stuff. Their egg rolls are huge, and their steamed dumplings are enough for two people. Also they have the correct soy sauce packets, red hot sauce, yellow mustard packets, and mini cups of classic duck sauce. I think they also do big catering trays too.Staff is so nice, food is great, giant portions, even the Tupperware containers they use now in place of Styrofoam are high quality. Make this your Friday night/holiday/weekend old school Chinese spot! They deliver!
Dietary restrictions: They have vegetarian/vegan dishes, and steamed items.
Kid-friendliness: They have some basic fries and chicken fingers.“

“Best Chinese food around without a doubt!!!! I’ve been a lot of places searching for good Chinese food and this is the place!!! Service is great, food is hot and plentiful. Always leftovers. Always order from Hong Kong express! When you schedule a pick up time just expect to be waiting about 10-15 minutes for it.
Vegetarian options: Sesame tofu is great!!!“
