“Last year food was great this year May 2026 got their fish and chips the fish is not the same doesn't look the same and was very dry. Saw other Sea food plates that were over cooked burnt and the prices have gone way up. Very disappointed My wife and I loved this place. I hope these reviews get back to the owner but , I have never noticed a response from these reviews If they keep serving lower quality food and charging higher prices. Ice cream typically contains a higher fat content—often between 10–16%—due to the use of heavy cream. This elevated fat level contributes to a richer mouthfeel and acts as a barrier to flavor release, which is why ice cream often requires more intense flavoring. Additionally, ice cream is churned at higher speeds, incorporating more air (known as overrun), which can reach up to 100%. This results in a lighter, fluffier texture but dilutes flavor intensity.
Gelato, by contrast, uses more milk than cream, resulting in a fat content closer to 4–8%. This lower fat matrix allows for more immediate flavor perception. Gelato is churned more slowly, incorporating less air—typically 20–30% overrun—which gives it a denser, silkier texture. It’s also served at slightly warmer temperatures than ice cream, reducing firmness and enhancing flavor volatility.
From a colloidal chemistry perspective, the differences in fat globule dispersion, air cell size, and freezing point depression all contribute to the sensory divergence between these two frozen desserts.“

“We stopped by The Spoonery and all went for the mocha chip—no regrets! The flavor was rich and smooth, with huge chocolate chips that gave each bite a satisfying crunch. The portions were generous, especially for the price, which felt totally fair. Staff were friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Definitely a spot we’ll be visiting again!“

“MOTW has the best chai in the city. I love the soft, creamy, silky texture of their Yemeni chai. I love the way they decorated the 38th st location, very inclusive and powerful pictures. Great spot to get some work or reading done. Also love their prayer or meditation area. It’s such a wonderful coffee shop. Usually Raadia is there when we go and she’s such a kind and friendly soul, always so helpful and customer focused.“

“February 6, 2025. What’s seemed like any other day in the life of an average-joe such as myself. What I did not expect, however, was my mind to be busted all over…
I visited the creamery expecting it to taste like any other, yet that is not how it turned out. The cream produced here, specifically by a fellow named Sid, in my case, was particularly excellent.
Regardless of your cream preferences, I simply cannot recommend this location’s enough. The cream here will just absolutely blow your mind.
My life is forever changed after visiting this location, and I’ll be chasing another cream experience of this magnitude for the rest of my life.

“My husband and I get our daughter an icecream cake every year here for her birthday... Every year they have done an amazing job!!!! But this year.... They absolutely outdid themselves!!!! My daughter asked for a Jojo Siwa cake and boy did they deliver!!!! They didn't have a picture for Jojo Siwa and asked if I could email them the picture I wanted. Which was super easy!!! The woman I spoke to was so sweet!!! (I think she said Tina was her name?) I emailed the picture right over and they had it done in no time.... When I saw it I was absolutely in love!!! But When my daughter saw the cake she started happy crying saying how beautiful it came out and how it was better than what she had ever dreamed of.... She said it was the best cake she has ever had!!! Thank you guys so much for making her birthday extra special!!! ❤“

“Had a great Chocolate Chip here the past couple of years, and it's my go-to. Seriously delicious. Most recently, I decided to try the Rocky Road and was sadly disappointed. For some reason, they added almond extract - much too much almond extract that left bitter notes lingering on the palette. Unfortunately this overpowered everything else including the chocolate; a chocolate based ice cream should be chocolate forward. Instead of actual toasted almonds, which would have given that pleasing pop of nutty almond flavor, they used walnuts that, naturally, got soft and spongy. I had to try and figure out what that strange texture was that I was biting into. The marshmallow was some sort of sauce, had a very slimey mouth feel to it, and there was way too much in it turning the cone into a slimy, instead of creamy, treat. I don't think I've ever thrown out ice cream before until then. And it makes me sad because it's so simple to make an excellent Rocky Road. I honestly believe I chose the worst possible alternative, and thats completely on me (but if you want to bring someone you hate a treat, bring them this one).
Service here is always excellent, the staff is friendly, the portions are good, and they do a great job overall.“
