“THIS is the homemade ice cream I'd been searching for all week!! Most of the places we'd been going to all week just resell pre-made Hershey's or other brands you can just get at the store, but you can taste the delicious difference between Whistle's and the others'. The service was also excellent, and the prices were very clear, unlike at other spots. Between the two of us, these were our thoughts on the 4 flavors we tried...Vanilla: 8/10 (vanilla flavor could have been stronger)Coffee Heath Bar: 8.5/10 (says it's super strong coffee flavor, but even kid's would like this; it's like the sweetest latte with bits of toffee)Chocolate PB: 9/10Almond Joy: 7/10 (not as coconutty as I'd want; the coconut flavor was super faint)We'll be back next time we're on The Cape!!“

“Hands down the BEST cupcakes I have ever had. Every time I visit the Cape, I have to make a trip to the Mashpee commons for my fix! So moist, so decedent, so delicious! My favorite is the “Hostess with the Mostess.” If anyone says they don’t like these cupcakes, they’re lying!“

“Great local ice cream. Not many carry grapenut flavor but they do-my favorite. You can buy it by the quart as well. Plenty of places to sit outside. Great family place and several bring their dogs. I can't fault them for price because everyone is pretty much the same but the prices are too high. I can't imagine taking a whole family out for a cone.“

“*** CASH ONLY *** Nana's is the best ice cream in Onset, hands down. I usually visit three times every weekend I spend in town. The Graham Central Station and Fluffernutter flavors are must-try. They raised their prices a bit this summer, but it's still much more affordable than other ice cream places in Boston / the rest of the Cape. They've got sundaes, soft serve, and Italian ice as well. The candy shop next door has a great selection and a vintage feel. Love the sour belts (watermelon and green apple), and the dark chocolate coconut clusters.“

(the competition close by does not have any of these options) ... 2- Ice cream and waffle cones all made in-house. 3- open year round EXCEPT February. 4- they have ready to go ice cream pies and cookie sandwiches. 5- REAL premium hot fudge. They put the nuts and fudge under the whipped cream on top of the ice cream - much better in this format.Charlotte, our server, was superb and quite knowledgeable about the ice creams, the process, and the vision of the store.
