“This BEST ice cream on the Cape! You can tell it is actual homemade ice cream because of how rich and creamy it is. This is how real, high quality ice cream is supposed to taste! Their waffle cones are freshly made too, with square bottoms so the ice cream doesn’t melt through. Very clever. My favorite flavors are their Blueberry Pie, Cherry Chocolate Chunk, Banana Cream Pie (seasonal) and Coffee Oreo. Their black raspberry was a little disappointing because of how “basic” it tasted- couldn’t taste real fruit or anything in there to help it stand out.“

“The other night, we went on a peak time 8:30pm ice cream run and every single ice cream spot had huge lines! We just kept driving… LOL. Eventually, we found ourselves all the way in Mashpee at Polar Cave Ice Cream Parlour. They had a long line too, but at that point, if I kept driving, we would’ve run out of gas So we waited in line and let me tell you, it was SO worth it. They make the waffle cones to order, and the smell alone was enough to pull you in. Not only were the prices surprisingly reasonable, but what really stood out was the service. The gentleman taking our order had the kind of smile you don’t see often anymore—genuine, warm, and welcoming. The whole place had these nostalgic Coca-Cola throwback vibes, and it just felt like a full-on experience, not just a quick dessert stop. My daughter said, “I hope customers feel this way when I serve them.” 🩷 And my husband got a banana split that was absolutely to die for and only $11! 🐻❄️“

“I'm celiac and went to Smitty's last night - I was really impressed with their protocol and the staff all knew how to prevent contamination! They gloved up, used a sanitized scoop and got the ice cream from the back. They went above and beyond - thank you!“

“Great ice cream and waffle cones. Only complaint is there hours online say “9pm” but they close earlier. As a testament to their quality I’ve tried to go there twice around 8:30 and they’re closed. Friday nights in the summer included. Fix your hours online.“

“This is fantastic ice cream made right on site!! Sooooo creamy and natural tasting. A million miles better than the likes of Ben & Jerry’s and whatnot. Nice selection of flavors. The staff are so friendly and considerate. Veronica asked which flavor I wanted on the bottom of my cone, for example.
I got a home-made waffle cone. Black raspberry was AMAZING. The black cherry was also delicious.“
“Stopped in for a bagel and a smoothie. Great scallion cream cheese and a lovely fresh Asiago bagel (extra toasted). Husband got an everything bagel with plain cream cheese and said it was good. If you like your bagels crispy, ask for it triple toasted. Smoothie was very creamy and delicious!“

“They only take cash, which sometimes I forget about- but their portions make up for it! A medium sized cone is swirled to the size of 2 cups, and absolutely layered with crunchy sprinkles! They also do specialty requests and Blizzards that aren’t even on the menu anymore (like their s’mores blizzard) and “brittle crunch cone”. Their soft serve is the perfect consistency, and not too melty at ALL. I love going here during the summer and they use a 16 oz shake cup for their brownie Oreo cuperfection where you get more icecream than other locations that use a smaller sundae cup. Super good, hearty portions, and great accommodations. It does get quite busy at nighttime but the wait is only for about 30 minutes and it’s fun to socialize with people in the line !“

“My favorite childhood ice cream has now become my kids' favorite childhood ice cream! ❤️ We highly recommend the Reese's Cream, Oreo Cream, Chocolate, and the Chilmark Coffee.... all at once if you dare lol! Summer staff are all so sweet and friendly as well 😊“

“I stopped in here while visiting Martha's Vineyard for the day to grab some ice cream. They had a lot of flavors We ended up getting the muddy boots, vanilla ice cream with brownie and caramel, in a cup. It came to $5 which I found pretty expensive. The person inside was friendly and the store was clean. I'd recommend stopping in for a snack.“
