She took the time to walk us through the menu, gave great recommendations based on what we were in the mood for, and checked in just the right amount - never too much, never too little. Even when the restaurant got busy, Milli stayed calm, kept a smile on her face, and made sure our drinks were always topped up and our food came out perfectly timed. “The hubby wanted to take me to lunch for my upcoming birthday..for our age and for our wallet we always go to lunch vs dinner...we are now already home with the pups in our jammies..so great...now as a self proclaimed foodie, I have wanted to try the food at Alma Nove at the Hingham Shipyard for many years...I am also a huge Wahlbergers show fan...adored their mom Alma on the show and her pal Phyllis...the show is so much fun..binge it if you haven't seen it..anyway...the weather today didn't look too spectacular for a waterfront restaurant but the blue skies showed themselves as we were eating inside...such a terrific location..the shipyard has been revitalized in the last 15 years or so...lots of shopping and dining destinations including the original Wahlbergers Burger Joint...I love this stuff...Dave is like ok whatever...but our experience was lovely..I will say however that my husband and I don't quite fit in the Hingham vibe...and it has a vibe..no shade but it kind of carries an air about it...the people I mean...lol...but we ignored all that and for sure enjoyed lunch..even Dave said how delicious it all was...our server...nice..we typically enjoy banter with our servers...he wasn't about that...all business and he gave us excellent service..but I do have the sense that more than likely the staff has high hopes of gaining maybe a walk on role on Blood Bloods with Donnie or maybe a handshake from Marky Mark when he comes through from time to time...hope for them it happens..fingers crossed...😉..about the food...great bread..seemed homemade but simple..fresh..served with butter that had black specks on it..turns out it was a black salt..interesting..a few drafts for Dave from Mayflower Brewery in nearby Plymouth and I had a lovely Pinot Noir...bottled water on the table..big fan of that..I ordered the Pan Seared Shrimp and Scallops served over a sweet potato risotto , topped with haricot verts(fancy greenbeans), toasted marcona almonds and truffle honey and my date had the Butternut squash Tortellacci with pan seared chicken topped with sage brown butter sauce, pecorino romano, apple cider gastrique and fried sage and chives..wow..we are styling here in the Shipyard...every bite was spot on and a perfect serving for lunch..we enjoyed all of it..dessert..well.of course..they have an in house pastry chef so that's a given for me..chose the Banana Bourbon Bread Pudding..when he returned he also brought a small chocolate dessert..like cake in a jar with whipped cream and a candle...he said they heard someone was celebrating a bday...we never said it so all I can figure is I posted that we were there for my bday and had tagged the restaurant...great social media connection if that was the case...we shared them and they were fabulous...took some photos around the place..ran into folks the hubby knew from Hull..absolutely highly recommend Alma Nove..those that aren't familiar with the background. ..The famous Wahlberg Brothers Donnie and Mark have a brother Paul who is the chef and owner of Alma Nove..named for their precious mom Alma and Nove in Italian means nine..there were 9 Walhberg kids..5 stars from me for Alma Nove.. Open daily for lunch and dinner. .I believe they have live music on Sundays and in the nice weather their outside patio overlooks Hingham Bay...a must try❤️ Mark has famously said their brother Paul is the most talented in the family...I believe that is spot on...“

“Fig is the best! Their takeout window basically got me through the pandemic, and I feel very lucky that this is my local. As a certified scone-hater, their blueberry scone is the best I've ever had. I recommend their lattes, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches (the cheddar cheese is SHARP), and chia pudding. Their lunch sandwiches are also great. 10/10 for staff, vibes, food, and coffee.“

“Everything about this place was so good that we visited TWICE in a row during a 4-day trip to Cambridge/Boston. My dad loved the seitan reuben and cauliflower po boy, and I ADORED the impossible ground beef chop cheese and Nashville hot chicken (seitan). And absolute W. Just a hop in from right off the main streets, they had a really nice selection of coffee, teas, pastries, soups, salads, etc. It’s very cozy inside with tables, chairs and low lighting. It was decently quiet inside, and the staff is friendly and helpful with suggestions. We got two pistachio lattes and they were incredibly good. Not too heavy on flavoring and they didn’t taste artificial. Overall, a nice stop for a bite and drink.“

“we had a wonderful experience all around on a busy Sunday. The manager, Russ, greeted us with a warm smile, setting the tone for a great evening. we sat outside and Jorge F, took great care of us. He was prompt but we never felt rushed. the food was excellent, the Lobster cones are a great new item. we also had the classic mussels. The grilled salmon was delicious. Russ was leading his team through a busy shift but was able to make time to ensure everything was just right. The best in the Seaport.“

“Cake order review only: easy to inquire about a cake online. Easy payment once we discussed the vision of the cake. And easy pickup. BEAUTIFUL CAKE. The cake was $90 for a heart shaped 2 layer cake with vintage piping, vegan vanilla with vegan vanilla buttercream and strawberry jam filling. I didn’t get the filling but was refunded immediately and the person handling the situation was so nice. I had asked why the darker icing tasted to chemically and they informed that the more they use the dye the more it tastes like it. So I would just skip that completely. Get the lighter frostings. Because like I said these are beautiful cakes and the cake itself is a good texture and flavor as a vegan cake.“

“We were on a trip and found this Cafe during our walk through the historic places in Boston. It offers delicious pastries, various breakfast sandwiches and lots of options for coffee and tea. Their orange juice is spectacular and the closest one to a real orange juice I've ever had. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The dining area is a little small for the number of the customers but there are also chairs and tables outside. The Croissant breakfast sandwich and the Honey Halva Latte we had were so delicious. “I ordered my daughters 6th birthday cake from La Casa Del Pandebono and it literally the best experience I’ve ever had with any business. Not only was the custom cake beautiful and delicious, they provided a level of exceptional customer service that I didn’t even know existed. The “Tangled” cake included a beautiful edible gold crown as it’s center piece, and it was packaged separately. Despite my best efforts to handle it carefully, I accidentally broke it the night before the birthday party. I texted the owner asking if he has recommendations for me to reassemble it (knowing it was unlikely, but I was desperate). He immediately responded and asked for my address, letting me know he’d deliver a new one when he closed the store (I live in another town). I was shocked at his generosity and beyond grateful. As an expression of gratitude, a sent him an additional tip which he politely attempted to reject (I wouldn’t allow it…haha). In return, he delivered not only the grown, but an order of birria tacos and an empanada (which I was admiring when I went to pick up the cake) - literally the best tacos I’ve ever had. I cannot emphasize how touched I was by this experience. La Casa Del Pandebono is a rare gem - baked goods that are truly a work of art, and incredible food that is only surpassed by the unbelievable customer service. I will be a customer for life.“
