“Just ate at Ali baba and wow, it was awesome! The place has a really chill vibe and smells amazing as soon as you walk in.

We started with some French fries and pita – super tasty and fresh. The falafel was crispy and not dry at all. The chicken kebabs were on point, juicy and full of flavor.

For dessert, we had baklava, and it was the perfect way to end the meal. Sweet and flaky, just how I like it.

Service was friendly and quick, which is always a plus. Definitely planning to go back soon to try more stuff on the menu. Highly recommend if you're into Mediterranean food!“

She took the time to walk us through the menu, gave great recommendations based on what we were in the mood for, and checked in just the right amount - never too much, never too little. Even when the restaurant got busy, Milli stayed calm, kept a smile on her face, and made sure our drinks were always topped up and our food came out perfectly timed. “For good chicken and great service, RUN DON'T WALK to Dave's Hot Chicken!
My wife and I came up from the Deep South to vacation in the New England states, and had never heard of Dave's Hot Chicken. We placed an online order and when we went to pick it up, there had been a miscommunication and my order was delayed by several minutes. I waited patiently, and the young lady behind the counter apologized profusely when she discovered the error and offered me a choice of items to make up for the wait. She didn't have to do that, but she was skilled enough in customer service to know how to save goodwill with a customer. (I worked a lot of fast food when I was younger: I know how it can be.)
The restaurant was clean, and the food was delicious! If we had Dave's in Georgia, I'd be as fat as a bear. The Top Loaded Fries were *on point,* and the chocolate shake was awesome.
If we ever make it back to Boston, we'll be eating at Dave's!“

He has the best customer service I’ve ever seen in my entire life and my food came out hot and ready and it was the best fried chicken I’ve had in a damn while. It's snowing like crazy and it's freezing outside where I've been working all morning my brother surprised me and had me meet him here for my birthday and I've never been here before. First Juan Carlo was very hospitable and gracious with his greeting and said it your cold and not getting food you can just warm up but we were going to dine so we ordered and Juan Carlo made feel special and great on my birthday they made this a birthday to remember I would tell anyone I know and I will that this location is one of a kind and you should definitely come for the experience and the food is amazing as well!! “Hands down best hot chicken I have ever had.
Rarely I say any place is worth visiting, but this one is.
Caution: if you have high heat tolerance, only go as high as Hot. 🥵 anything hotter is at your own risk.

The meat was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. Combined with the fresh vegetables, soft pita, and flavorful sauces, every bite was delicious. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients and prepare everything with care.

“Tried the buffet on the weekend. The cost vs food is amazing! They had a good spread of food, that they would refill quickly. Fresh naan for the table is also really great. The place was clean and comfortable. I would recommend going 15-20 minutes early on weekends cause there could be a short wait. Overall, worth the cost and the trip to kenmore.“

“We usually order from a different Shawarma place in Somerville, but decided to give Sam's a try. The food was very good, and in good sized portions. They were good about following requests to leave things out of the wraps. Note that they do the style with fries on the side rather than in the wrap. My only complaint is that they list some, but not all, of the ingredients on their site. So if you have things you can't eat, I definitely recommend calling them to double check. My partner can't do creamy sauces, and they listed tahini sauce but not garlic sauce in the lamb/beef shawarma, which ended up being a problem. Not a huge thing, just annoying that they make it look like everything is listed when it isn't.“

“On one of the first days at my company, a colleague took me to the old New York Deli on Temple Street and introduced me to Kadhim. I couldn't understand why he would take the time - it's not like this guy is going to remember me out of all of the people who come through there. My mistake - every time I would see him over the years, at whatever location, Kadhim would come from behind the counter and greet me by name like an old friend. Understand - he was told my name once, over 20 years ago. I don't even go out to lunch very often - sometimes it would be years between visits to one of the Falafel King locations. But every time I enter, it's a big smile and greeting and an expression of appreciation that cannot be faked...go check them out!“
