“My nonprofit group enjoyed a private party at Tokenfire. The hot appetizers were a great start to the party, with meatballs, pork dumplings, the best brussel sprouts and savory flatbreads. We enjoyed the authentic Shepherds Pie, perfectly grilled salmon, and a vegetarian pasta dish. Dessert, including a fig bread pudding with salted caramel gelato and tiramisu was fabulous. The service was excellent and the ambiance was delightful. I hope to return when they have live music.“

“I love going to this place, and we always enjoy the food, service, except today I request a glass of water with lemon, and the waitress brought me a plastic cup with water and lemon, sorry I don'tdrink water in a plastic cup, so nicely I ask her to change it to a glass , and she was polite, no problem, but next to us was sitting two elderly couple that since we walk in they were very upset because we sit in the next table, and as I was asking the young lady for a regular glass ,this older lady was talking trush about me, and the fellow who was sitting next to me though that because we are Spanish,we couldn't speak English, he respond the lady that Ibwas trush, I respect people, we are educated, and I didn't said what they deserve to be told ,because my parents educated me, I was raised here in Massachusetts, and probably have more manners than this old cauple, they show their true color, racist, think they own every space in the earth, shame on them, if they are so afraid of Spanish people they should not go out of their shell, I been living in Massachusetts for 55 yrs. I don't need to feel uncomfortable in any public place because of few pigeons that cannot leave at home their racism, they are ridiculous, we are in 2023 United State is not only for morons like them, the restaurant is nice, and service is great, probably this young girl is new, don't know what happen, she was nice , but like always there are people that shoyld mind there own business.

“A good restaurant for sushi. The service was friendly and the menu has many options with plenty of pictures to make it easy to select what you want. Most of the appetizers and sushi we ordered were good, the only exception was the seaweed salad which wasn’t as tasty as the other plates. The green tea mochi was okay.“

“It was my Birthday dinner 🍽️ and I truly enjoyed the food, atmosphere and the fact that it wasn't busy when we showed up. The Servers were attentive and thoughtful singing happy birthday and giving me a slice of cake that was scrumptious. The reason three stars was not the people but that they seem understaffed and other tables were messy, though that was NOT our experience. Great value and food that's affordable.“

“Just had dinner with my friend Christine at the Mooring. Her Steak Tips and the entire meal was perfect and so was my Turkey Tip dinner. The server was very cheerful, friendly and took care of the entire bar, Drinks, Food, Keno everything! Absolutley awesome job. “In Boston during FB season and searched for a Packer Bar - BansheeBar kept showing up and when asking around they were the #1 recommended place. “Loved the cozy, yet chic pub vibe and charming staff! We came to experience The Fed’s famous cocktails, but we were blown away by the food selections as well. When the staff heard it was my mother’s first time in Boston, Chef John made it extra special by creating a delicious Seafood tower for us! (The scallop ceviche was to die for!) The four of us sampled the pretzel, clam chowder and pasta dishes, and I’ll be making another trip back just to have the grilled asparagus salad again. So fresh and tasty! I gave ‘Mix Master Marco’ a challenge to surprise me with a cocktail, and the daiquiri he created was just amazing. (Now I wish I could remember the name of it.)

“We enjoyed our meal and the service was wonderful. We shared the whipped feta dip as a start. It was creamy, not too salty with a wonderful spicy fig jam in the middle and warm crispy bread. I ordered the Chicken and Burrata sandwich with a side Caesar salad. Both were delicious. My guest had a huge burger with sweet potato fries. We were very pleased.“

I had asked to substitute the fries for a salad, and while I appreciated the option, it came already dressed. I personally liked the dressing, but I usually prefer my salads without it, and would have appreciated being asked. Unfortunately, my partner didn’t like the dressing at all and ended up not eating her salad. A small thing, but it would’ve made a difference if they had checked with us first.“

“Hogan has made Napper Tandy, Roslindale, a very community friendly place, from his friendly, witty banter to adding atmosphere with special lighting and with flowers adorning the bar.
Morgana, one of the mixologists, is very talented creating interesting and fun cocktails.

“Its a really quaint place, the venue is nice and the kitchen delivers good dishes. I dont like how there are televisions everywhere broadcasting football and baseball the whole tine for such a small space, it makes it noisy and unpleasant. One tv is playing one topic with audio and another tv with another topic. Its messy. Please reduce this.“
