“This is a great little place with really good Irish food and good selection. I have tried several items on the menu and been very satisfied. Because I go during the week around lunch time it's hard to find a good server but each time I have been my server has been quite attentive and very nice. The atmosphere is okay but very quiet when I go there but again this could be because of the time I go. I had the Reuben this time with sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were delicious and cooked perfectly. The Reuben was also delicious and it had a very good ratio of meat to cheese to bread. The bread was crunchy and buttered lightly for a very well made sandwich. My uncle had the seafood platter and he enjoyed it very much saying it was lightly fried and not over fried and everything came out hot. It was really good.“
“It's a bit shocking as you expect a dive bar, and they do have dive bah tendencies, and the food is all amazing! Talk about service, the bartenders are some of the best around. You're not going to go here for high end, you are going to go here to understand what a neighborhood bar and restaurant is. “We had a wonderful breakfast at McSwiggans this morning. The Irish breakfast was amazing with authentic Irish brown bread and wonderful Irish tea. The service was excellent with a great atmosphere. I can't wait to return to try the dinner menu.“

“Stopped in for a late lunch on a Thursday and the place was really busy! Service was super quick despite being busy. I had the BBQ turkey tip entree and my partner had the meatloaf special. Both were excellent! The place is cozy inside with a bustling bar and several high top tables. Definitely recommend!“
“Driving up, my first impression was that the place was closed; the windows were dark and it was difficult to figure out which door was the entrance. The signage was confusing and had two business names including "O'Leary's Pub." We went in and the place was neat and well organized although somewhat dated and a bit worn down and old (sort of like most of the patrons the average age of which was probably 75). There was also an unused stage--damned shame since I love live music. BUT... To me, the food and the service matter the most since that's what we were there for! The server was very friendly and prompt, and we ordered a tuna melt and pot roast--both were delicious! So I'm giving this one 5 stars.“

“My husband & I were visiting our daughter in Whitman and decided to try this pub. We had the best time! The food was delicious (shepherd's pie)! Great service & a cozy spot. We loved the live music too (Bob Phillips). My husband felt like he was playing his CD collection! We'll definitely be back.“

“Today, we popped in for lunch a bit earlier than usual because it's often really busy, but we were lucky to get a table immediately. We tried the fish tacos, a Thanksgiving Day sandwich, and another sandwich - all delicious! Our server was awesome. The size of the portions really surprised us. We'll definitely come back.“

“I went there a couple months ago when I had a friend visited me. Very nice, calm atmosphere. The age of the people are not college kids, 20 year olds, they are a little older, so it is more calm. The service is very nice. Out in the back, they have a separate covering where you can chill with people and have your drinks and food.“

“Our party of 20 had an excellent dining experience. Our waitress was hands down incredible! She was pleasant and not a bit flustered or overwhelmed. I was expecting a decent wait for our food considering the large size of our party but I was pleasantly surprised! We had 3 large tables and each table had drinks at the same time, all 3 tables had our appetizers at the same time, and all 3 tables had our food brought out at the same time. That alone is impressive, but the wait was no longer than you would normally expect. The food was great and hot. 20 meals and not a single complaint! “This is what a Dive Bar is supposed to be. Cash only, one pool table, Hella strong drinks, and all the locals. No food, but they allow you to bring your own, or get delivery. Always someone there that will do a shot with you. Fun spot to start, or end your night out.“

“We stopped in here a couple weeks ago after I took my dad to a doctor's appointment. The girl's in the office were ordering take out for their lunch. I said to my dad lets try this place not knowing the area. Well , one lunch and we were sold. The following weekend we brought the whole family and I think there was a dozen of us and we all had a great meal. I had the best steamers you can get. I was so pleased. The bartender was super friendly and efficient. We don't live near by and my 89 year old dad asks to go there once a week. Congratulations to this couple for running a successful restaurant. “When I went there, it was my 2nd day in the US ever. This place did not disappoint. Very authentic, very American, I loved it. All the screens showing different sports, the pale ale beer is extremely tasty, and the food was also very good.The staff was also friendly and attentive.“

Made our evening even better than it already was. Some had the Haddock, 1 had the French onion soup and a salad. I had the short ribs, a first for me. “Used to frequent the Mansfield 99 when I was younger, stopped by this location when I moved to the area and have been coming back consistently since. Food is great and better than anything comparable for price, but the service and atmosphere are the difference maker. Frank and Gillian especially are amazing but the whole staff is beyond friendly will consistently make you feel welcome and treat you like family.“
“I went for the veterans free dinner and upgraded my meal with the extra sides. I got a seafood chowder that was supposed to have shrimp, clams, and schrod in it, but it was almost void of all the seafood. It was more like a milky potato soup with a seafood flavor. On the plus side though the petite dessert was very good and much bigger than expected. I would go back again because the experience was not that bad overall.“
