“Beautiful location on the water in downtown Rockport. The main dining area is tiny and because it's directly overlooking the water, it's crowded and gets loud. They'd benefit from sound deadening material on the ceiling or walls. There's a small deck with tables in warmer months too.Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie and vegan options, including vegan burger bun and vegan cheese.Parking: In the winter, there is parking directly in front of the restaurant on the wharf. That parking isn't really available in summer due to the popularity. There is also street parking and a couple of lots in other parts of downtown Rockport, then you walk to the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu with chicken fingers, burgers, etc. Extra large crayon pack (6 colors)!“
“First time here! I don't eat seafood, but my bf LOVES it, so I was a little nervous. But I didn't need to be! There were plenty of other dishes available. The atmosphere was comfortable - the view was nice. The food was awesome - the service was perfect! He got seafood Ciopinno or something (I forgot the name) but it was HUGE- it was loaded with lobster & shrimp & calamari & octopus. He couldn't even eat half. I got a turkey bacon club. The French fry chips were so good and so unique - LOVED THEM! The turkey was quality meat and perfect! Stacked 3 high, so I had lunch for the next day too! Would recommend! 5 stars all the way!Vegetarian options: Large front parking lot“
“Great pizza, we had the marg and the cheese, I'd rate it a solid 8.9(I honestly think it's better than some apizza places...) Neoplitan style but finished with semolina, making it amazingly crispy but still some chewiness. The sauce had a good balance of flavor and the cheese these guys use are top notch. The owner is the best part of the whole place, super friendly and welcoming.“
“EDIT: CASH for delivery tips (see full review) I would like to express my gratitude for the owners prompt actions and response. I was unaware they went through a 3-rd party so I have changed my review to 5 stars because it is not their fault. I am unsure how to contact her but her genuine response and my other experiences shows me how wonderful they are. I will leave the original review for people to see what happened. You can also read the owner's response that further shows their care and professionalism. The response completely made my sad night so much better. Thank you!ORIGINAL:I love cafe bischo and recommend the food. However, I was notified after I paid, to tip the driver in cash. I never carry cash with me so I didn't have any. I was hoping she had venmo or another electronic payment option. I explained this to the delivery driver and she proceeded to yell at me. Then rudely shove my food at me and sarcastically say "have a nice one on me" before I had a chance to ask her if it would be okay for me to deliver a cash tip to cafe bischo or meet her elsewhere the next day. If she had been polite I would have been able to figure it out with her like 2 adults. That being said if you order deliver you must have CASH for a tip. I will never order delivery again she was so rude. I however will continue to frequent for their delicious food.“
“The Franklin exceeded our expectations! We were in Cape Ann to visit the Edward Hopper Exhibit at the Cape Ann Museum (exhibit now closed). We Googled nearby restaurants for a quick bite before driving to Cambridge for an Early Music Festival concert. The Franklin came up with very good reviews and it was, yes, right outside our window where we had parked! It was an easy decision to go in. Although the restaurant was booked up, we got a couple of seats at the bar in the main room which shares the same house menu. We were seated next to a kind local couple who helped us with menu choices. The food was very good. We ordered the two pastas from the menu to split and a side of cooked spinach (no garlic because of the concert!). The regular-menu Ravioli was good; the edges were thicker and more aldente than I liked (my husband liked it). The Daily Pasta was close to perfect. Fettuccine with Chicken, Mushroom and Alfredo Sauce. The Spinach was as ordered and it was a huge amount. We each ordered a glass of wine.We will definitely return if ever again in Gloucester, MA. We might even plan to return...Dietary restrictions: The Hostess mentioned that The Franklin has many Gluten Free items on the menu. She was a regular customer because of it and decided, "Why not work here?"Kid-friendliness: I would not have brought my young children. As grown young men, they would love The Franklin.“
“Short & Main in Gloucester is a culinary gem, seamlessly blending coastal charm with exquisite cuisine. The seafood-focused menu showcases fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and the inventive dishes reflect a commitment to quality. The intimate ambiance, attentive service, and a thoughtfully curated wine list contribute to an exceptional dining experience.“
“Yes, new owners. Haters are gonna say 'it's not like it used to be.' Tho Destinos crew taught these guys how to 'Destino' before they left. Seriously. Same rolls, same ingredients, and same mac salad for folks who 'eat in.' Chips on same shelves, soda in the cooler. Register hasn't moved. Still sucks to park. It's Destinos.“
“What a wonderful place to find! I have a feeling each person who discovers this hidden gem, will feel the same marvel I did, when I stepped inside! Live music in the daytime? Yes, yes, yes! Thank you for all you do with your lovely vibes. And damn good coffee!!“
