“Excellent atmosphere, drinks, and service! What a hidden gem that we are so glad we stumbled upon this past week. So sorry to hear that a developer who owns the strip this fun beach bar is located on will be tearing everything down to put up brand new condos. Where are the people who buy those condos going to go for fun? Please save The Dolphin! Music, game nights, and great atmosphere to hang out and enjoy the ocean views while meeting and mingling with some great people!!“
“We were driving forever in Newbury and Newburyport to find a decent breakfast place and for some reason our efforts were thwarted at every turn. We stumbled upon Marie's and it was the answer to our hungry prayers. They have an extensive breakfast and lunch menu, good coffee and very reasonable prices. Great, friendly service. I had a gigantic $3.50 pancake and it was perfection. Highly recommend!Parking: Huge lot with tons of spaces.“
“This charming old school diner/cafe is my go-to place when I am in town. Well prepared, vast choice of traditional breakfasts, with outstanding home made corned beef hash. Lunch specials are usually good as well. His fish chowder on Fridays only Are worth travelling far for. I reccimmend.“
“Dined at Seaglass for first time to celebrate my daughter's birthday. There were six of us. I gave it 4 stars vs 3 based on atmosphere, views and experience. Restaurant was not full on Friday night so we sat by the window. Views of the ocean and waves even at night are amazing. Restaurant itself has a great vibe and nice lighting. Food and service were not as great. Good for an average restaurant but for a $500 bill, I'd expect a higher level of service and food quality. Service was somewhat slow and not as attentive as you'd expect, but server was friendly and doing her best. Our group had a range of entrees from lobster rolls to filet and baked haddock. Lobster rolls were excellent, as was the burger. Haddock was just OK and catch of the day was average. Entrees only come with 1-2 small sides, no salads. I'd visit again for the views of the ocean and recommend sticking with a more basic entree for the price.“
“Went there for lunch today & on the recommendation of a friend,. my husband & I both ordered the liver & onions. It was one of the best we've ever had. Liver was so tender you could cut it with your fork. We will definitely be going there more often.“
“Great service, pretty decent/average food for a sports bar. Great environment for what it is. If your looking for a quiet place to sit and chat, this isn't it. If you're looking for a fun time out with friends, this is the perfect place!“
“I have continually gone there with friends for lunch. We usually order the platter for one at lunchtime is plenty of food for two people I have done this at least 20 times. Nothing changes everything is perfect. We get the combination onion rings and french fries with it. It comes with haddock clams scallops shrimp just amazing wonderful seafood, the best on the North Shore. I've been going there since they open four years ago and I've never had anything bad. All their luncheon specials are really a deal , the seafood is fantastic clam chowder, perfect coleslaw, perfect and their steak tips and steaks are probably the best in the area. I give them five stars and would give them them more if I could.“
“I'm a regular customer with my partner at the Peabody location. Can't say enough good things . Occasionally I stop at the amesbury location..I have a big complaint as a regular customer..The t.v. reception at the bar is terrible..This is a sports bar..Come on !!“
“Myself and my family have been visiting The Hungry Traveler for more than 10 years, and it is a solid 30-minute drive for us to get there ! Don't be surprised if there is a wait to be seated. If there is, don't be discouraged. It's worth every minute of your time. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, clean and cozy. Whatever you're wearing is perfect. A rehearsal dinner party in suits and dresses might be next to a group in "right off the beach" attire.Ok... The Food ! If it's busy, the arroma will drive your stomach nuts. Seafood? Of course, and anything you order will be as good or better than the best you've ever had.Turf ? Absolutely, and if Prime rib is available during your visit, OMG, just get it ! The menu is large and varied. You may have trouble deciding what you want.Intimate groups would be wise to have everyone order something different and share. The prices? They're in line or better than other eating establishments, and they won't break the bank. The quality more than justifies the price. Hey....Stop reading this and get your butt over to The Hungry Traveler !“
