“This is a hidden gem of a restaurant. The staff here were very friendly and professional. The food and drinks were delicious. I suggest getting a reservation prior to going. I didn't have one but we made a gamble for someone not showing up.... and sometimes when you gamble, you win. We were able to get a table for 2. Parking is interesting with some street parking up front but a large lot in the back of the restaurant. I am looking forward to going back again soon!“

“This morning I went to the beating heart of Shelburne Falls itself, The Foxtown Diner Upon arrival, one is immediately enthused by the delicious bouquet exuded from the kitchen. As usual, I was greeted by their kind and efficient staff, as well as by their excellent Chef! I enjoyed the gentle interplay of root and bulb that was potato with onion. They were if anything improved by the golden nepenthe escaping from its billowing albumen cloud. The sausage were the perfect combination of the porcine and spice. The toast was a perfectly cooked brown, gently caressed by lightly salted butter. And finally the coffee exuded the strength and subtlety that one expects from the Global South. All in all an excellent experience and I thank you all!“

“I love baked!! everything is made from scratch, even a 9 hour slow roast Reuben, the bread, the cocktails omg. They even repurpose used coffee grounds for custom baked body scrubs!! ctrus peels are used to make oleos. Tons of baked goods, and phenomenal breakfast and lunch options - vegan and veggie too!!!! local fav, summer gets crazy though so come early!!“

“I HATE when I forget to pack a lunch at work. (Sometimes I do it on purpose) Dangelos always brightens my afternoon! I’ve always worked in the restaurant industry until I got this new job. And now I get severely hangry and I know Dangelos will have me covered. The location is in the worst spot possible, but I will suffer the traffic to have a good sandwich. I went to school with one of the guys that is a higher up and It’s always nice to see him. One day at work I ordered food for delivery and they forgot my “combo up”. The portions were fantastic (had more then enough), all containers were labeled,they provided serving utensils and it was all boxed and ready to go when I got there! They also helped me load it all into my car. So impressed with everything and will definitely be ordering from them in the future for any other gatherings that come up!“

“Went to Yankee Candle then needed to eat! This place was a little over a mile away . What a gold mine!! Easy to get to .. great parking! Vegetarian options: I have vegetarian eater in my family, they have specific dishes and menu that is, but also you can just tell them, I want xyz leave out the meat and eggs… they are very accommodating. Just tell them your needs.

Dietary restrictions: They are very good with allergies and food issues. I always change the shrimp and no eggs and they have no problem. Delicious.

Parking: Nice large parking right in front of building. Short walk to the door.

Kid-friendliness: Lots of room. Friendly staff.. large tables.“

“My husband and I aren’t from around here. I am taking a class at GCC and we needed dinner after. I decided to pick here and it was an amazing choice. William was our server and he was awesome! The pizza was fantastic and OMG the chocolate expresso ice box cake was to die for. I think we found our new Thursday night spot for dinner! Thanks Magpie for a great dinner. “Hillside pizza literally saved our wedding this past weekend. When our family was hit with covid the week before our wedding we had to pivot and make a plan b. If we didn’t cancel our planned catering by a certain time we would risk losing a large amount of money if we ends up with covid. We decided to call hillside which was close to our venue and see if they could help. Daniel was awesome and super accommodating. We were able to order 39 various pizzas all of which were awesome and salad for 105 people. They also accommodated a few of our guests with gluten and dairy intolerance by creating special meals for them. They were able to give us until 8 pm the night before to cancel as we continued to covid test to be sure we were clear. When the pizza arrived it was sent with hot bags tongs for the salad which was so fresh and delicious. All of the dressings and pizzas came with awesome labels. The guests were very satisfied and the food was delicious! Thank you so very much Daniel and hillside pizza!!“

“Have been going for YEARS! The staff have always been wonderful and treated us well. I think in the 17 or so years we have been going there, there has been… one mistake… and they made it right. This is the only place we will go in town. 10/10“

“In spite of limited hours and menu it is still a great place to go. The salmon cakes were exceptional and actually glutenfree ( no breading) and served with fresh asparagus. The drinks are delicious and strong. The lakeview- exquisite on the deck. Doublecheck hours as it has only been open F, S and S.“
