“Best people and best food around! Love them for breakfast AND lunch. Always the friendliest guys in there. Counter service style deli. Portions are HUGE, so come hungry. “Love all the sandwiches, and everything is easily customized. Wonderful atmosphere, old wood and great photos of the old neighborhood on the walls. Food is always great, and I keep coming back.
Vegetarian options: I typically get the Beyond Burger (with mushrooms and cheddar cheese), which is great. There are several other vegetarian options as well.“

“Highly recommend Professor’s catering! Decided to have them make the food for a post wedding brunch I co-hosted in April. Best decision ever! Guests raved about the food! Then in June, I needed a last minute gluten free entree, and the team put together a beautifully garnished pan of gluten free roasted chicken that was delicious. Love their grab and go prepared foods case, too! 10 out of 10!“

“I was working in Boston it was early morning and I was craving a breakfast sandwich so I found Max’s Deli Cafe conveniently it was open around 6:30am. I ordered a pastrami, egg & cheese sandwich on a roll it was tasty the service was fast and accurate i will have to return for lunch but breakfast was exactly what I wanted.“

“My opinion is 9.6/10. Came here because of man vs food did the 2 lbs burger. This place till this day has the juiciest burger meat I ever had was literally dripping down my arm, but not only juicy flavorful and highly enjoyable. “Was the first place we ate during out first trip to Boston, and was just a good, solid sandwich to have after traveling all day. There was not one weakness in that sandwich. The onion rings were pipping hot, crispy, and BIG. If we ever make it back to this area we will definitely stop by.“

“March 8th we had a retirement party catered from Stevie and gang at Sammys. Cold Cut Platter Assorted Calzone Chicken Boccoli and Ziti Sausage Potato Pepper and Onion Garden salad and dressing. Delivered to Saugus!!! Hot. Fresh. On time. Cost effective. Tasty!!!! Plentiful, we ran out of nothing with 50 adults, mostly men. 5 star job. ☆☆☆☆☆ Will use for the next gathering as well. “Great locally owned spot for breakfast. The food was fast and fresh! And a great value! I had the 3 cheese omelet with breakfast potatoes, they were skin-on reds! My young daughter (9) had the English muffin egg and bacon —she wholeheartedly agreed. Beats the socks off the chain places nearby with preprepped frozen foods being made by people who don’t care.“

“After 5 days in the hospital bringing my daughter into the world, my wife wanted the best Italian sub in Quincy and I found it here. I had the turkey gobbler which was fantastic. Both subs were stuffed with cold cuts/turkey! $28 for two giant subs and a pound of pasta salad; I'd bet there was $10 of Boars head cold cuts in each. I can't believe I hadn't heard about this place sooner. I'll be back again and again.

Parking: Easy parking off Quarry St and plenty of parking in the lot out front.

“Stopped in today, this was my second time shopping. Got 10lbs fresh kielbasa and lots of other goodies. Very helpful and pleasant staff. I’m not Polish, but my husband and kids are, so I cook the traditional Polish food. I will definitely keep coming back, so hard to find good authentic Polish food!!“

“Wow! I ordered a few things from The Real Deal in JP Yesterday. EVERYTHING I ordered was Absolutely Delicious! The Patty Melt was one of the best things I have ever tasted! “Was greeted promptly and in a friendly manner as soon as I walked in the door. Pamela was so helpful and SO accommodating. Had a hot italian sausage sub with peppers and onions and the flavor was to die for and I will definitely go back. The bread was from the bakery next door - Piantadosi's and was fresh as can be. That is the bread we buy at home as well. Nice butchery shop was plenty to choose from.“

“From outside looks like your normal pizza shop but let me tell you this place has got to be top 10 pizza in MA got 2 cheese slices fresh out the oven and it was the best damn pizza I've had in awhile sauce was just right the crispness it was just fresh and how a pizza should he made. “Parking: Great place to grab a healthy meal to go or to enjoy while you do some people watching on Centre Street. My favorite is the Thanksgiving Day Sub, delicious every time. They have all the things you would expect at a convenience store with lots of Irish specials food too. There is a guy named Ahmad there, and he is incredibly kind. Stop in, grab a snack and tell him Alice said hello.“

“For years, I breezed past this spot, assuming it was just and old convenience store. Little did I know, I was missing out on some good sandwich deals. A few months back, I discovered they were slinging subs, so I stopped by a couple times to grab some cold subs.
P&K has been a neighborhood fixture for over seven decades, and you can feel that old-school charm the moment you meet the owner. He’s the kind of guy who’s always friendly and never skimps on the toppings—generosity is clearly baked into the business. While the sandwiches aren’t quite the size of Al’s famous subs, they still pack great value, and honestly, they’re hefty enough that I rarely manage to finish one for breakfast. My favorites so far were the seafood salad and the classic Italian sandwich.
Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re looking for no-frills, classic Italian subs. Just keep in mind that the hot subs aren’t usually available until after 10am.“
