“I recently visited the Artist Cafe, a small and vibrant (Black owned) establishment in downtown Springfield. The cafe impressed me with its extensive menu options and I opted for the sausage egg and cheese croissant, which was incredibly delicious. The service was prompt and the added bonus of available WiFi made it an even more enjoyable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend the Artist Cafe for a delightful meal.“
“A couple of weeks ago, I reached out to Matt at Northern Soul Cafe to provide some last-minute catering (within the week). It amazed me at the level of customer service he provided during our initial call. The great customer service didn’t stop with him. Krystal handled the next few steps in the ordering and delivery process. Not only was Krystal polite and easy to work with, she was kind and patient. The food was nothing short of delicious. However, the taste of the food is only half of the battle. The other half is how you treat your customers. You can have mouth watering food and poor customer service and you will be my last choice, if one at all. I will choose the Northern Soul Cafe EVERY TIME! If you’re looking for delicious food and great customer service, go see Matt at Northern Soul Cafe. Please Note: Short noticed catering orders require an additional charge if it can be filled.“
“My first time eating a meal here. The atmosphere and ambiance are very nice. The service was quick and the staff are very friendly. The food was delicious and you get a good value for your money. A big breakfast sandwich and a large iced latte were less than $10!If you are visiting downtown Springfield this is the place to grab a bite. It's small, but not cramped.Actually, it's comfortable to sit and eat while you're waiting for a meeting downtown or waiting for a store to open.I will be coming back here.“
“This is a small "hole in the wall" restaurant. Parking is behind the building. We almost didn't go because the last review was in Feb. 2021. Restaurant seems to do mostly take out business while we were there. It only seats about 10 or 12 people. My husband and I both enjoyed the sandwiches we ordered. They are prepared while you are there, so its no fast in and out. I ordered the chicken salad and it was good, but not superb. My husband had the pastrami and rye and he enjoyed his sandwich.“
“Family, guy next door atmosphere. You feel like you’ve known Jake, the owner and grill man, your whole life. Excellent food made to order. Excellent and friendly service. Very human experience in a world full of corporate chain disasters. CASH ONLY or you can order online with a card. A little expensive, but you’re paying for quality and supporting small and local business.Parking: It’s on Main Street, so you can either pay for on street parking or you can park farther and walk.“
“So I went back and forth between 3 star and 4 stars. Small business have it tough already competing with larger business' so I gave 4 stars. Service was great waitress was attentive and nice. I was not happy with my food I got the eggs benedict. Sauce was light almost non existent and if it was not for the salt and hot sauce I would not have ate it. Only thing they did well is poaching egg so that it was runny but they need some more seasoning and better hollandaise sauce. Also, the potatoes were wet not sure if it was water or oil but a little weird and also tasteless.“
“Didn't expect much from a deli inside a random building but boy was I wrong. This was one of the most amazing sandwiches I've ever had??? And I eat a lot of sandwiches. Got the hot turkey club and it was stacked high with turkey and bacon. Absolutely incredible! My friend got the hot chicken and Brie and couldn't stop raving about it. I will 1000% be back. The employees were also incredibly kind. Def check this place out!“
“First off let me start off by saying "Mocha Emporium" is the standard on how business should be conducted. I was greeted pleasantly and professionally by the employees as soon as I entered this renowned establishment. I was offered a hot cup of coffee to which I accepted with no hesitation and the utmost excitement. (I was tired from babysitting my great uncles hamster and a hot cup of joe was just what I was in need of.) the coffee came out swiftly and elegantly just the way I like it. It had just the right amount of peppermint creamer as well as just the perfect amount of Splenda. (I'm a diabetic so real cane sugar is not something I can consume... UNFORTUNATELY. Oh my how I wish I could! Well anyways the coffee was just amazing! I started chit chatting with owner name Sultan. Funny thing is that is my goldfishes name.. SMALL WORLD!! We started talking about solar panels and all the benefits of them. I was immediately interested due to the fact I'm a Biden supporter. VOTE BLUE! Anyways I ended up buying so many solar panels from Mr. Sultan at an excellent price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! I'm telling my auntie Shirley about this place right away!“
“Nice little place. Prices were very reasonable, especially the children's menu (entree, chips, and juice for under $6). Areas were cleaned several times while we were there, even the bathrooms were clean and maintained. We all enjoyed our food.“
“As much as I wanted to love this local veggie friendly little spot,.. I can't give 5 stars for the food. It's cute&clearly very popular during weekday lunch, on a pedestrian only street with potential but... of the 5 sandwiches 2 were very bland, the tuna wasn't warm or cheese melted, but one was good my son said, & one was the smallest pb&j my 6y had ever seen! My mom got the sweet potato bowl & it was small& disappointing in flavor. Slow for lunch due to the order ahead option we didn't know about...Parking: Google sent us to wrong front entrance, have to use entrance on pedestrian street“
