Great food accompanied by great service definitely be back!!
Beautiful location especially at sunset. Delicious dinner, excellent service. The popovers are sooo good. Go to the restaurant before they close. :-(
A must try and we will 100% be back. The restaurant was very pretty and the backdrop of Boston on the water at sunset was incredible!! Excellent food! 4 of us went for a late dinner. The pastry puffs were amazing! Definitely have the lobster bisque, incredible. The scallops were the best we have ever had!! Scrod was cooked to perfection as well as the steak. The white wine paired with the fish was fantastic. No room for dessert unfortunately. Waitress was super pleasant and attentive....read full review
Anthony's Pier 4 Cafe offers a dining experience reminiscent of a more civilized time, with fantastic service and atmosphere. The restaurant provides fair food quality and quantity for the price. Some dishes like the Prime rib and oysters may be a bit lacking, but overall, the food is good. The kitchen receives praise for their outstanding meals, particularly the Lobster Bisque, Grey Sole, and famous Popovers. The restaurant's iconic location has been a family favorite for decades, with the Athanas family's sons continuing the tradition of excellent service and great ambiance. Customers can enjoy a peaceful meal, with fresh and hot seafood dishes, including the delicious Baked Stuffed Lobster. The atmosphere is complemented by beautiful views of Boston on the water at sunset, creating a very relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. The restaurant has a pretty setting, with some stained ceiling tiles, but that does not detract from the overall charm. The popovers remain just as memorable as in the past, and the main entrees are often excellent, with highlights like the lobster bisque and scallops. The staff is super pleasant and attentive, making guests feel welcome and unhurried. Despite minor critiques, such as rice with no seasoning and undercooked potatoes, many visitors express love for the place and plan to return whenever possible. Its long-standing reputation and the scenic backdrop continue to make Anthony's Pier 4 Cafe a special spot for dining.
