“This is my go to for quick lunch with a friend or a solo sushi trip. Service is fast, food is fresh and the lunch pricing is literally unbelievable. Sushi for 2 with appetizers and drinks under $60??? Hell yeah. The store is always clean and the staff has been friendly every time I’ve gone.
Vegetarian options: They have an entire Vegetarian platter and tons of options!“

“Recently changed owners hence the name change from Sushi Time to Umami Sushi. My go to was the Spicy Salmon Don from Sushi Time at an incredibly affordable price. To my surprise, I learned that Sushi Time has changed to Umami Sushi and the price had gone significantly up! I tried my go to meal anyways, but unfortunately did not taste the same. :( Friendly workers though. Maybe I'll try something else but I miss Sushi Time!“

“Deluxe Sashimi Platter ⭐️ It was great! It's really fresh and there are a lot of varieties, except for the sea urchin, which is a bit fishy Octopus Carpaccio ⭐️ The seasoning is very refreshing and the octopus is very chewy, I love it Torched Japanese Scallop ⭐️ It was very light, I couldn't really taste the seasoning, but it was very tender Unagi Don ⭐️ A friend ordered this. Gyu Don + Onsen Egg ⭐️ The beef is very juicy and the onsen egg is very flavorful“

“I eat at Soi 8 on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was clean and quiet. The service was great! We ordered the sushi which was pretty good. We also tried the fried rice which was very sweet and the drunken noodles. I would definitely go back for the sushi!“

“Moko is my go-to sushi spot in Boston. The staff are absolutely incredible, Mai and Lucky are the absolute best, so welcoming and are so fun to chat with. The sushi is always so fresh, and they have some really creative rolls - the Southie roll and Wild Fire roll are my favorites! This is honestly one of my favorite places to go for dinner, 10/10 recommend!“

“La Piñata is open right in front of Maverick Square in Eastie with great cocktails and outdoor seating. Well priced authentic Mexican food too, that's coming from a fellow Mexican. With East Boston becoming SO gentrified and with more generic or "high end" restaurants pushing out local establishments, this is a delicious place to visit and support a local business.“

“Stopped here while visiting from California. The Mac n cheese was delicious however the star was definitely the chicken and waffles! I wish I lived near by because I would honestly come in once a week for it. Service was great, staff was friendly, food was phenomenal. Cocktails were well done as well.“
