“Last night I had the pleasure of visiting Volo Craft Pizza in Swampscott, MA — and wow, what an experience! 🌊🍕 The ambiance right by the water is beautiful, with Boston’s skyline in the distance, and the service made us feel right at home. Owners Pina and Tony are so warm and personable — it truly feels like family when you’re there. Now, the food… absolutely incredible. Having grown up with New York City parents (and with my own background working in a pizza restaurant), I know good pizza when I taste it — and this was next-level. Their Detroit-style Double Trouble pizza with hot honey was out of this world. 🍯🔥 The Caesar salad with fresh-grated cheese was crisp and flavorful, and don’t even get me started on the cannolis with chocolate chips and lemon — pure heaven. 🍋🍫 I’d happily drive 35 minutes any day for this. The pizzas are clearly made with love, and I can’t wait to bring my parents back to try it. If you’re anywhere near the North Shore (or even if you’re not) — do yourself a favor and try Volo. “I had lunch with friends here yesterday and everything was great but I have to mention that our server, Russell, was hands done, one of the best servers I have ever had. He gave us plenty of time to catch up with each other with cocktails (about an hour!), He paid for a round of drinks because we wanted to order from the brunch menu but missed it because we talked for so long. He said it was his fault for not reminding us! Unheard of! He let us have a leisurely 3 hour lunch, with no pressure at all, and was very attentive when we needed him. He even sent over a delicious birthday dessert without even being asked! Russell is The Best!!“

“Asia Mei is easily one of the best Chefs in Boston. I've eaten here several times, but I can't believe that I haven't written a review before now! My husband and I had brunch at moonshine 152 last weekend and told friends about it. Next thing you know, the four of us were in there around noon time today having brunch again. We shared three starters, alongside sharing all four entrées and everything, I mean everything was to die for! Ms Asia herself delivered some of our plates and she is just as delightful as she is talented. Needless to say, dinner is amazing here as well. The vibe in the restaurant is so easy and you can tell that the staff get along very well together. What I can't believe is how this place wasn't fully packed today or last weekend even. Definitely a good amount of patrons, but I've had brunch at places that are hard to get into and left much less satisfied.“

“It matches the hype. The Sicilian Pizza is…perfect. There’s not enough superlatives to do it justice and if there were, even then it wouldn’t reach hyperbole. Craziest thing of it all is the pricing. Four slices, arancini, and a drink for $16.00? How? In today’s economy how are they keeping the price this low? Also amazing. Just go. Don’t think about it, don’t pass go, don’t collect $200…go get your dang perfect slice.“

“This was my first time here I live out of state currently and I have alpha gal syndrome so I am allergic to mammal. This place we decided to try it out and man oh man! This was my first time eating in a restaurant in a LONG time!!! Absolutely amazing food! It all looks and smells delicious! The staff is very friendly! I highly recommend this place! The menu can be found online and the paper menu in-house is clearly marked with possible allergen information! 10/10.“

WE FINALLY WENT, THE MINUTE I WALKED IN THE PERSON AT CASHIER SAID WHEN YOUR READY TO ORDER YOU COME HERE, BLINDED BY IT AS IS A RESTAURANT NOT A FAST FOOD SPOT I LOOKED AT HER AND ASK FOR THE MENU SHE LOOKS AT ME AND POINTS INFRONT OF HER TO GO GET IT MIND YOU, THERE ARE 3 OTHER PEOPLE BEHIND HER WHO WORK THERE .....I LET IT PASS AND TRIED TO GIVE THIS PLACE A SECOND CHANCE COMING BACK THE FOLLOWING WEEK AS THE FOOD ACTUALLY WAS GOOD THE WEEK PRIOR. “My girls and I attempted to eat at the Salem retreat on our first morning of our trip. We waited 20 minutes for a table after watching 7-10 people be seat AFTER we were given a buzzer to wait. We left and came to Dotty & Rays. We got a table as soon as we walked in, had water brought over immediately, drink and food orders promptly taken. The food was fantastic. We had one part of our order missing and once they realized the issue, it was remedied with speed and courtesy. Everyone was very friendly and renewed our experience in Salem. We enjoyed it some much we came back this morning. This is the place to come to a good meal and pleasant experience to start your day. Come to Dotty and Rays!“

Tried three different beers and enjoyed each one. They didn’t do flights but do offer small pours so it made it easy to try different brews.
