I cant speak for japanese authenticity but the flavor is much better than some other popular north shore ramen spots.

I have only had takeout so I cant speak for service or atmosphere but the food alone compels me to give it a visit sometime soon.

Like, come on guys just take the Lunch Menu version and add $2 to it like every other place does, im sick of walking to Mandarin it's like a whole half street farther away lol“

“Kevin, the GM is the best. I've been going to the Ginger for 15+years, and there's only been one constant- Kevin. He makes every visit seem like your are visiting an old friend. You couldn't ask for better service or food . Go outside of your comfort zone, and ask him for recommendations for a meal. I'd never order some of the things that he had recommended without his guidance. Love this place.“

“Food is really good — I usually get takeout, and it’s always fresh and tasty. When we dined in, though, it took a while for the food to come out, and one of our orders was wrong. Still, the flavors made up for it, and our waitress was super nice and apologetic. Overall, great spot for delicious Asian food, especially for takeout!“

Everything from the fresh fish that tasted like it came sea to restaurant, to the veggies that tasted farm fresh to table, everything here was 20 stars. “Pretty standard menu with Japanese and Chinese options. This is our favorite takeout on weeknights in Reading and always good. Dining in is nice, clean and the service is fast and perfect amount of attention. The menu isn’t super creative and leaves me wanting more options like maybe some soup or steamed dumplings but I think their strength is hibachi and sushi.

“Pho 1 has changed a lot and I’ve been going there for years. Last night I ordered the beef soup for take out and when I got home and opened it the meat was like shredded and not the same consistency that had been in the past. These are hard times for all of us and giving customers scraps is no acceptable. I will go again later in the year and see if they have improved.“
