“Great location. The service was friendly but way too fast. We were served all of our food within 5 minutes of ordering. That made the table very crowded and we had to eat out hot food first instead of the appetizers. It was ridiculously expensive. We didn’t order the raw oysters as they were $37 for 6 with mignonette sauce. We couldn’t believe they charge an extra $5 for sauce. The sushi was good. We loved being on the marina and able to look at the boats.“

“Absolutely love marketplace cafe! BUT I do not agree with them pooling tips!!! Our waitress worked her butt off while we watched 4 waitresses sitting at tables by the entrance doing nothing!! Why should she have to share her tips while they sat and didn’t have tables?! If they have nothing to do have them sit somewhere else not at the entrance where people walk in! Very bad vibe. Let the amazing waitress earn her tips! She deserved them!“

“No tables, no cash. Takeout only.But this seafood shack represents the best value in the island and it is very conveniently located in the heart of Edgartown.Lobster roll is pretty solid. New England clam chowder is tasty. Clam strips and other fried foods are beyond edible. Tastes like all ingredients are from the frozen section of Restaurant Depot, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with that as long as the line cook knows how to prepare those frozen foods. And they do more than an adequate job at it.I was getting a little bit tired of overpriced and under-portioned meals at the island. And I discovered this place and it was a treat.“

“Did a search for a place on the water and went here. Boats all around on this inlet but was a great little spot. The weather was great so it was wonderful to be outside. Nice bar with friendly bartenders. Food was good and the staff was attentive but not overly. We didn't feel rushed at all.“

Terrible slaw. Wet purple cabbage for the most part.“

“What a great little gem! Stuck down the cape after a wake of a family member. The bridge traffic was backed up for miles. We decided to stop in for a bite and we were pleasantly surprised by this little place. The waitress was nice, attentive and fun. “A real hidden gem!
After 4 hours of cycling around the area, my wife and I were looking for refreshments. In the UK we'd have passed numerous pubs in that time, but less so here in New England. Quite by chance we happened across Grumpy's and couldn't have asked for a better watering hole.
The venue itself is brimming with character and history, and there's definitely something for everyone! Pool, darts, pinball, arcade games and a wonderful host in Kevin.
The drinks seemed really reasonably priced, and I would have happily stayed all day if I could have!
There are t many places to choose from around here that have the vibe and soul of Grumpy's, and so if that's what your looking for, this is the place to be!
If we are ever in the area again, we'll definitely be stopping by!“

“never again!! got served raw food, horrible service. manager was just as bad as the server. man did this place go downhill fast. I have been coming here since the eighties. I didn't even buy a tee-shirt. so overpriced. what used to be a nice little restaurant, has now become a tourist trap. so the tourist can have it. this place will not get anymore of my money.
