You get to grab your own silverware, butter, jelly napkins, coffee yourself from carafe. Waitress just brings plate to your table and then you bus your own dishes afterward. It works, they probably don’t have the extra staff to wait tables properly. If you figure in the tip from a normal diner that comes out about the same.“

“Spotless clean. Fresh and high quality ingredients. Very friendly. Very tasty food and fast. Prepared fresh in front of you. They even have ice cream. It's worth the drive up from Springfield. Go see a movie at the old theater and don't miss the poets tower.“

The Everything Bagel Cream Cheese Scone has been living rent-free in my head since I left: laminated layers of cream cheese worked into the dough, possibly the best scone I’ve ever had. Cold brew was dialed in. Grilled cheese is genuinely great. And the chili crisp — cinnamon-forward, impossibly crunchy — is the kind of thing you start thinking about putting on everything else.“
