“The kind of spot we have been waiting for in Mattapan. The location is low key and fun. The owners and staff have excellent customer service. Paul makes great drinks and can make you a nice drink off menu. I ordered oxtail Alfredo which is very rich and tasty. My favorite is the curry goat.“

“Our server was great, I had the drink with the mamajuana and it was tasty - on the sweet side though. We had the ceviche - HUGE portion and yum. We shared the passion fruit glazed salmon and the pork belly mofongo. The salmon was awesome; the mofongo was good - definitely a unique bite, but we would have liked more sauce. Overall we were very pleased.“

“i will definitely be visiting The D Coal Pot again very soon. The food is fresh taste great and really good. I was driving and came upon this restaurant i didn't plan on going to this restaurant but I said to self stop and get a few Patties and wouldn't you know they had no Patties. I left the restaurant with Corn Soup Peas & Rice Chicken Roti Beef Roti. I also got to try a dessert I've never had before I don’t know the name of it but had Guava Sweet Potato Coconut and other things to make this dessert which was really good so I ordered 2 to go. D Coal Pot is definitely a place you must visit and get a meal.“

“This was my six-year-old’s choice for his birthday dinner! We used to frequent the South End location and since that one closed, we got delivery from Brookline. He wanted to write a review. His review is ‘they are the best cookers in the world.’ He also wants to give the meal seven stars. The food was great as usual! My go-to is the pabellon criollo, delicious and filling! Will have to come by and dine in soon.“

“Go! Super small and unassuming but it’s super affordable, the staff was friendly, pretty big portions and SO good! Mac & cheese is a must! We also loved the plantains and the ginger wings. We enjoyed the spring chicken sandwich but it was better without the bun, honestly could use more of a homemade softer bread, but the fried chicken and spicy jam with side of sweet potato fries was super yummy and filling. Definitely worth leaving Boston for, easy parking and no wait.“

“I am more than happy with my recent experience with Right Taste, who catered a graduation party for me. I ordered the friend chicken , the steamed cabbage and the Rasta Pasta. The food was impeccable. The customer service is outstanding too. I highly recommend the restaurant. A1 service.“

“Tiny, inexpensive ,no frills place with friendly young staff serving up classic Dominican tostados, toasted sandwiches. Takeout only, but they have plenty of outdoor seating. Sandwiches were delicious but a real surprise was the quality of the fruit smoothies! My mango and passion fruit smoothie was so rich and summery, not drenched in sugar at all.“

“My family discovered the TapTap by chance, when my teen’s phone quit working during an outing and he needed to call home for help. The proprieters very kindly allowed him to use their phone, and while he waited for pick-up, he ordered some food. We ended up enjoying a delicious and generous rice bowl and beef and chicken pasties. So flavorful!! We are so glad to have found this fantastic gem, and plan to return for more!“
