My boyfriend and I love it here! When the staff learned it was his birthday they went all out with taking care of us. The staff are so kind and want you to enjoy the experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.
A great place a bit off the beaten path. Close to all the Waltham hotels. Been there several times and never disappointed. Even is fresh and plated. Beautifully. Good for family groups, quiet dinners or take out. Very accommodating for special requests.

The extensive list of signature sushi rolls, including many spicy tuna and shrimp tempura options, is a highlight. The lunch combinations are great, and the miso soup is flavorful. The cozy and nicely decorated restaurant can get busy, especially during birthday celebrations, but the friendly and attentive servers make the experience enjoyable. The spicy tuna and Fuji rolls are highly recommended, and the boneless spare ribs have a really nice flavor and sauce. Umi also accommodates dietary restrictions, such as gluten allergies. Despite its slightly difficult location, this hidden gem is worth a visit for an unbelievably delicious meal that might make you consider returning for dinner.
