“I've been eating here for about 15 years. One of the best pizza/sub shops in Metro West. Subs are always fresh and filling, and the pricing is fair for what you get. Always a satisfying experience when I visit Mark's!”
“At The Local Kitchen & Drinks, culinary creativity meets community spirit. This cozy eatery offers a diverse menu of locally sourced dishes, crafted with passion and care. From inventive appetizers to hearty entrees and craft cocktails, every bite is a celebration of local flavors and hospitality. With its inviting atmosphere and friendly service, The Local is more than just a restaurant – it's a gathering place where friends and neighbors come together to savor delicious food and create lasting memories.”
“One of my favorite places in Boston. Really intimate space, so book a table/seats ahead of time (sometimes up to 2-3 weeks for weekend slots). Sake variety is terrific, and you can sample before purchasing. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and passionate about sake. The food accompanying the sake is a bit of a hit or miss for me though. I would recommend eating before coming.”
“Scott was absolutely amazing, so pleasant and the service here was great. He was so attentive, and really made my friends and I feel so welcome. I will definitely be coming back here if he is our guy again. We are absolutely amazed with our experience here.”
“Visited with my sister as we have heard great things. The place was gorgeous, staff were all so lovely, and the food was beyond brilliant! Highly recommend checking out this amazing and creative new spot, you won’t be disappointed!”
“A cute little neighborhood shop in West Roxbury. I came here on a weekend afternoon and the place was full of people inside and out enjoying a cup of gelato. You can learn the difference between ice cream and gelato from their wall decor while you decide on what flavor to get. I had high hopes for this gelato and it didn't disappoint. I got pistachio and creme brulee and definitely preferred the pistachio more. It had a light flavor that was creamy, but not overpowering. The gelato had a good texture to it and I would love to go back to try out the other flavors.”
“Big fan for awhile. Voted one of the best Mexican food joints in the U.S. Few tables so mostly take out. Parking can be limited on the side street that it is on. Hoping they move to a larger location.”
“What a gem! Super approachable, super service, super variety... it really is super bien! Pop in and grab one of their empanadas when you're waiting for a table in Charles Speedway. Or, sign up for one of their wine tasting classes (wine and hot dogs, anyone?!!). Or cozy up at the bar with your favorite person and try one of their expertly curated wines. Oh -- don't forget to grab a lil something from their ready-to-go deli fridges: flan, salads, all sorts of fresh goodies. There's no bad choice here: you'll have a super bien time :)”
“Dined there for the first time - blown away by amazing food and cocktails. Small plates with creative, understated recipes that delight your mouth, flavor combinations that sing, and just the right portion size (even though we ordered doubles of the hogshead fritters, they were so good). Further their cocktail maestro has crafted incredible drinks that will make you rethink tequila, bourbon, and scotch. Impeccable service. It's been so long since we've been to a truly great restaurant, and this place gave us hope that truly great restaurants can make it thru this pandemic.”
“Found this hidden gem on Instagram one day and the birria tacos served here looked insane so of course I had to try it! The restaurant is small but the staff are super sweet. You can try and walk in; however, the place does fill up quickly so try and get a reservation if you can! Started off with an order of guacamole and chips with some salsa and upon first glance it looks pretty regular. But the first bite of the guacamole and you can feel how smooth and zesty it's been made. The salsa was also delicious with some heat! For entrees ordered the Al pastor burrito and of course the birria tacos. The burrito was massive and a very interesting take on a burrito as it was crispy and seared well unlike most burritos which are usually quick soft and floppy. But no flops here. Pair each bite with the guac or salsa and it's perfect moving on to the star of the show, why I came here! The birria looks amazing. I loved how crispy the fried cheese was. Similar to the burrito, most birria taco spots make a wet and floppy taco, but no flops here!! The meat was super tender and you can tell it's been stewed inside the consume for hours maybe even days?! Each bite was better than the last.My only warning is due be mindful of how much consume you're consuming as it's a little salty and you might not notice it until after you've left the restaurant or even the next day.”
“I've been several times and I've never been disappointed. There are a few things I would change on the menu if I was in charge, but they execute what they offer very well. Would love to have a bit more vegetarian creativity, but even the plain "cheese enchiladas" are amazing. The ambience both indoors and out (when the weather is good) is great. All in all I think Acitron is an example of a city-class restaurant that happens to be conveniently located here in my town. Lucky to have them.”
“Food was fantastic and the Atmosphere of photos of family, friends, new and old customers and their delicious plates of food make it a fun place to eat. The staff was so friendly. I had the owners daughter Julieanna she was absolutely delightful to deal with. Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone.”
“This was my first time eating at Minerva after hearing rave reviews from my family for months! We came for the weekend lunch buffet and it was amazing; so many options, fantastic food, and great service. This will be a regular spot for me every time I visit Boston!”
“A spectacular dining experience like no other. The food is absolutely amazing. Having allergies it’s difficult to dine out, I was able to enjoy a meal with no issues.”
“Absolutely delicious pizza. Probably the best in Boston. Just wish the place was bigger. Be prepared to wait a while even on weekdays. But the pizza were totally worth it.”
“This place has changed my breakfast life. I use to struggle finding a good breakfast spot in Brighton, but this place is so fresh, delicious and generous in their portion sizes. I plan to come here every weekend.”
“The Irish Village has always been a great place to have quality pints at an affordable price and lots of fun to be had. Though it is a local pub with a wonderful group of regulars the doors are always open to everyone. Recently, The Village has opened a cool new back room that will feature live music, pub quiz, open mics, and karaoke. There will truly be something for everybody to enjoy. So please come on down!”
“Food is amazing especially the spicy chicken, but they charge $1.50 for each tiny little container of sauce which is crazy, if they gonna charge for them they should at least have different sizes.”
“Love Johnny's for a quick and delicious meal for my family that we don't feel guilty about eating. Super friendly staff that provide a great variety of options throughout the week.”
“If you're on the hunt for a hidden breakfast gem, this place is a must-try! Not only is the food delicious and visually appealing, but their extensive selection of flavorful teas and robust coffees is sure to impress any caffeine aficionado. The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxing, making it a perfect spot to get some work done or simply enjoy a leisurely meal. The staff is always friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. When it comes to the menu, you can't go wrong with the grilled cheese – it's a savory delight. And for those with a sweet tooth, the waffles with ice cream are an absolute must – truly to die for! Additionally, the pricing is perfect, making it an excellent value for such high-quality offerings.I highly recommend you check this place out; it's a real treat. My favorite new coffee spot.Parking: It's in the mall so there's plenty of parking”
“My sister-in-law just sent me and my wife a door dash order to cheer us up, with cold brew and two pains au chocolat. I took one bite and… wow. Buttery but light and flaky, cooked just right - understated perfection in a bag! I grew up in France, and this is honestly one of the best French pastries I have had in 28 years living in the US. Even in France it's not every day you find one this good! We’ll be going there for more, can’t wait to try what else they have to offer!”
“Undoubtably the best coffee I’ve had in Massachusetts. Jejes does NOT disappoint. If you are a coffee fanatic this place is a must visit… & soon that visit will turn into a regular trip. The natural flavors that come from the beans are top notch! Thanks so much for the great pour over & espresso!”
“Amazing omakase experience! I enjoyed this more then the very well reputed Boston omakase, and at a fraction of the cost. So convenient to the suburbs, right in Lexington. We will definitely return!”
“An incredible Uruguayan restaurant! The menu is delicious and the presentation is incredible. The service is excellent, with so much attention and care. And the restaurant is impeccably decorated and feels so cozy! The owners are so sweet and kind, ensuring that you'll have a wonderful time. A great place for dates, group dinners, catching up with friends, or events. Their drink menu is extensive and full of delicious options. Can't wait to return!”
“Grandma’s Kitchen is truly a hidden treasure! Their braised beef noodle soup is a culinary masterpiece that's worth traveling far and wide for. The harmonious blend of spice, acidity, and umami in the broth creates a tantalizing flavor experience. Each bite of the al dente noodles paired with tender, flavorful beef is pure delight. The popcorn chicken is another standout item—crispy, impeccably seasoned, and bursting with flavor. The service is both swift and welcoming, adding to the overall charm of the place. Getting a glimpse of Grandma herself in the kitchen adds an extra layer of authenticity and warmth.I can confidently say that I'll be making regular return visits to Grandma’s Kitchen—it's simply too good to resist!”
“cute little restaurant in brighton! everyone who works here is so kind and service was amazing. we got the salmon bowl, fried chicken sandwich, the brown sugar ginger latte and a smoothie and we loved everything. the space is cozy and clean. definitely coming back!”
“This review is for the Brookline location of The Abbey. The Abbey doesn't do reservations or call ahead. We showed up around 6:00ish on a Saturday night and were told there was a 20 - 30 minute wait. We were welcome to sit at the bar, but there was no place for four people to sit together, so we lurked near the door and chatted, ducked customers walking in and out and staff taking orders, running food and clearing plates. It's a small space when all the tables are full and people are a few deep at the bar, but that just added to the ambiance. I was seated facing the wall so I didn't see quite how busy it got, but the noise was at "lively" level. We could still have a conversation but needed to speak up to be heard across the table. We were able to snag a table after about 30 minutes. The basics first: The drinks, food and service were fantastic! This is our second time here, the first being ages ago when they had the covered tables outside early in the pandemic. I've been wanting to come back forever, but don't usually get to this part of Brookline. I need to change that or head to Cambridge too! I started with a winter sangria (red wine, brandy, spiced rum, apricot and allspice) that was delicious. They have a pretty extensive gluten free menu, which is nice. My friend wanted the GF pasta Bolognese, but she is dairy free to so that was not an option. We ordered two of the slow-braised short rib "French dip" egg rolls with gruyere, horseradish aioli, and red wine demi for the table. Loved this! I never finish apps and I inhaled this. I was fine with that, I could just put my main in a take home container. We also got the black kale & Brussels sprouts salad, avocado, pepitas, Crispy bacon, and a fried duck egg. Even if you think you don't like kale and or Brussels sprouts, get this dish! I got the "Thanksgiving" panini (house roasted turkey, cornbread stuffing, cheddar, arugula, cranberry aioli, hand-cut fries). It was delicious and can't wait for the leftovers. The hanger steak frites came topped with watercress and a madeira sauce. It was the most tender steak that I've ever had. For sides my friends also ordered shredded Brussels sprouts and pan roasted cauliflower with capers and pecorino as sides. Not to be missed are the hand cut fries that are the embodiment of French fries perfection. They are a must order, either plain or with truffles and cheese. Fried potato nirvana! As I said, the place was packed, but service was attentive and Ty (sp?), our server made sure allergy info was provided to the kitchen. He made great suggestions for items to try. The Brookline location does not serve dessert (sad panda) but the Cambridge location does. Good to note for next time! Did I mention that the kitchen is open until 1:30 AM every night? Perfect for late night bites.”
“Incredible customer service, the kind that is rare to find! Above and beyond! The pastries are delicious. The Cruffins are light, airy and just the right amount of sweetness. We support small businesses, and this one is a hidden gem!”
“Not from the area, but we went to a coffee roasting event and the owner recommended checking out Moody St. My friends and I first saw Amuleto when driving too Moody St. We all like Mexican, so agreed to try it. This place did not disappoint. They seemed short-staffed at that moment, but they waiter managed just fine. Great food and drink selection and my friends are vegetarians and had no issues choosing their lunch or apps. Overall, the place is really nice inside and the food was great!I'm down in the New Bedford area and we have our fair share of great restaurants, but I would come back here again, with more friends.”
“Cupcakes were my first introduction to Ware Baking Co., and I was hooked right off the bat. The "Cookie Drop" is the one thing we look forward to every week, and love the personal delivery service. Great holiday gift, or plan your next party!”
