“I’ve come here for years for the bubble tea, but recently decided to try some of their dinners and desserts. Wow – I felt like I had entered someone’s house and had been given one of the most delicious home-cooked Asian meals ever. In addition, the owner always remembers me and welcomes me in. “Really fast service. I ordered a peach cream matcha and it was really good. A lot of variety in drinks, a lot more than Gongcha's, and I personally prefer these flavors as well. The boba itself was really good, consistently sweet and chewy. Goncha and Kung Fu Tea are similarly priced, so it's up to you on which flavor or boba floats your boat, however I would choose Kung Fu Tea over Gongcha any day.“

The popcorn chicken and salt and pepper pork are our favorites — full of crispy, savory goodness. The staff are lovely and super friendly, making us feel right at home. “In all honesty, the service here is wonderful employees always patient and answer any questions you have The atmosphere is great drinks are low price even at the large drink with Boba it’s only $10 and they don’t pressure you to tip, but with the service you’ll get you just want to tip the most amount you can. “My husband and I love coming to banh mi cafe, it’s one of our neighborhood go-to’s. It’s especially great to pick up a banh mi for a little picnic across the street, or by the library, which is advised bc they only have three counter seats.

Everyone here at banh mi cafe is efficient and welcoming, so service is quick. You can easily order at the kiosk if you’re feeling antisocial, the the staff are open to answering questions too. I usually go with the standard deli meat sandwich which is phenomenal. I tried their bbq pork and their lemongrass tofu last night. Both were super tasty, but I’m always nostalgic for a traditional banh mi personally. However, the lemongrass tofu was honestly a sleeper hit. It’s really flavorful and has such a nice contrasting texture against their French bread. Highly recommend it here! Their fresh rolls are also fantastic—extremely crisp, I think they add chive in it? It’s great, whatever it is lol. I will say, in the dozens of times I’ve been, they have only sold out of bread once after 6/6:30pm, but when I tell you I was absolutely devastated…so get there early if you can!“

“Atmosphere here is great! I go every weekend to this location after rowing on the Charles. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff are very kind! The boba tea is delicious- I recommend the grapefruit green tea or milk tea which are both refreshing. The grapefruit green tea is especially perfectly sweet! I personally like this location over newbury street.“

“Every time I come here on Sunday in the morning I order Oreo wow they tell me they don’t have boba available that it’s going to take 20 minutes to make.. this is the 4th time this had happen. And last time I. And 4 other people was there ordering drinks with the boba and got the same answer they asked then why are you open. If you know, that is your main ingredients, someone should come in 30 minutes early to make sure everything is prepped before you open. It’s very disappointing“

“I had an amazing experience at this bakery! I bought the Dubai chewy cookies with cheese and monuts, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced.

What really stood out was the staff — they were incredibly kind and patient, explaining every single product in detail and helping me choose. You can really feel the passion and care behind both the service and the baked goods.

“Absolutely my favorite place for sushi when adding together freshness, service, and timeliness. After moving to Massachusetts from Florida, there has barely been any place with real flavor up here. After checking the reviews I saw this place might have some potential for a good price. It’s a small restaurant with a few tables, and the perfect hominess. We wanted to go out somewhere for Valentine’s Day with our baby, not somewhere too crowded considering she’s in her chaotic phase, and we went here. We got a maki party platter for us and a chicken teriyaki for the baby. It’s an adult portion so we decided to have something for her to have lunch and dinner with the next day. The sushi came out and it was so amazing and honestly super fast too. Then came the babies plate, it comes with a miso soup so we were able to get her to try it and she loved that. Then we cut up her food into bite size pieces and as we were preparing it, even though I personally hate chicken, it was SO FLAVORFUL!! We had to keep going back to her plate for tiny bites because it was delicious, the chicken was NOT dry and it felt so clean and refreshing each bite. Then when in regard to the service, WOW the waitress was absolutely the sweetest ever, was so interactive with our baby and attentive to us. Our new regular place for sure.“

Atmosphere is good…some low-top seating or a couch with a coffee table would make me want to come here to meet up with a friend for a quiet chat. Increasingly I have noticed "Bubble Tea" prices rising and sizes shrinking (starting pre-COVID).Kung Fu Tea was one of the earliest adopters of this mentality. Gong Cha is great because they directly compete for the available market space and force prices to stabilize and provide a basis for comparison.This particular kiosk-style Gong Cha does not have as vast a menu as some other brick&mortars within the Gong Cha chain, but they have enough.I'm happy many more people have access to this type of drink (a few years ago there was no company in Metro West). I was told that Gong Cha still brews quite a bit of tea rather than using the popular powders.“

The bimbimbap had a ton of veggies -- the portion was very generous. The owner was quite nice; he gave us two large bubble teas for being his last customers of the day. “This place has all the advantages of the Caffe Nero that it used to be without any of the disadvantages. In other word's it's spacious, has a variety of furniture and seating options (equally good spot for solo laptop work, relaxed book time, group meeting), lots of outlets, nice big windows, a great menu with reasonable price point. Compared to before the business turned over the coffee is better (IMO) and cheaper and the place no longer feels depressing in that way that carbon copy coffee franchises do. The people who work here are so nice and there is always a place to sit! In fact it's too easy to find a spot—please visit Cafe Lava and Bento and support this business so that we can keep them around.“

“Perfection! Pork bahn mi and pork dumplings were wonderful. Asked for extra vegetables and was told it already came with plenty. Sandwich was very well balanced and definitely had enough vegetables. Very friendly staff! Keep up the great experience.“
