She was experienced enough as a server to know to ask us if we were celebrating anything, and made it that much more special by bringing us complimentary glasses of delicious champagne. I came across this restaurant on Google and had never been, so wanted to give it a try. I got the lunch special, with coconut soup, 2 spring rolls and the massaman curry. I asked if it was possible to get no mushrooms in the soup, and they happily accommodated! I also asked if my curry could be extra spicy, and was also told yes. I wish I took photos, but it smelled too good to wait because everything was absolutely delicious (with no mushrooms and the curry delightfully spicy!) and I even have a little left over for tonight 😊. When I asked for extra breadsticks, he didn’t just bring them—he presented them, like a knight returning from battle with treasure for his king. When I inquired about the difference between the Tour of Italy and the Chicken Alfredo, Serj’s explanation was so detailed, I felt like I had just attended a TED Talk on pasta-based decision-making. Reader, I devoured it, tears of joy streaming down my face, while Serj nodded knowingly in the background, like a mentor watching his pupil achieve greatness.
