A beautifully arranged farmer’s cheese bar provided a selection of artisanal cheeses and accompaniments that impressed everyone.

The passed hors d’oeuvres were another highlight, especially the perfectly prepared lamb bites, which were a guest favorite. To make the evening even more special, Chef Chris prepared a custom pasta dish at my mother-in-law’s request, showcasing his versatility and attention to detail.

“We found Catering by Terrie while searching for local caterers for our unexpectedly rushed wedding. Most catering companies declined the request as the wedding was planned for less than two months away. Terrie not only agreed to work within the limited schedule, but also adapted some of the dishes from her catering menu to accommodate some of our guests with restrictions. Terrie’s team was punctual, polite, and professional. The food was fantastic, and by the end of the evening all the guests were well-fed. Many compliments were received on the charcuterie board, curry noodle bowls, coconut shrimp, chicken parmesan sliders, and many others. Set-up and take-down also went without a hitch. With all of the headache and stress that went into a wedding planned on such short notice, Terrie and her team graciously handled one of the biggest aspects, and helped to make the day as perfect as we could have hoped.“

“First visit today, although we live somewhat in the neighborhood and I am already kicking myself for not having got here sooner. Red tabbouleh spicing was very punchy and vivid. Allspice in the stuffed grape leaves make them worth coming back for, not something I think I've ever said about stuffed grape leaves before. Most unforgettable was the red lentil soup with its soft rich velvety texture over two or three layers of different delicious flavors. Great first impression, can't wait to go back, solid A leaning toward A+.“

Not only is the space incredibly comfy, but the staff were remarkably generous and fun to chat with. Let me tell you! I was driving by and it caught my eye. So I decided to turn back around and check it out! I was lucky to meet the owner , Jabreel (I think that’s how you spell it). He was out of rice that day so we just got jerk chicken and jerk wings with sweet plaintains and mango salad. He told us to make sure we comeback and let me tell you, MY MAN AN I WILL BE BACK! The food was so good I couldn’t believe it! Highly recommend service and food was 10/10.“

“I can't say enough great things about Sensational Paella. From the start we knew we wanted our food to be different than the typical plated wedding meal. I work in the food industry, so it was really important to me that we WOW our 150+ guests with something truly special. When I stumbled across Sensational Paella, I knew we had found exactly that--something truly special. Julian, his wife, and the entire crew treated us like family from start to finish. They always seemed genuinely excited to be working with us, and truly committed to providing a great experience for our guests. On the day of, they did such a phenomenal job of getting everything set up and sticking to our timeline, and I've never seen a faster and more efficient event breakdown -- the hall looked pristine not even 20 minutes after all the guests left. Then, of course there was the food. FREAKING AMAZING. Our guests couldn't stop telling us how amazing the paella was; so many people told us it was the best food they ever had at a wedding, which meant the world to us. There was more than enough paella for all our guests to have as much as they wanted AND for us to still take home three big tray fulls of paella. We opted for four different paellas on our buffet: the paella mixta (meat and seafood), seafood paella, meat paella, and veg paella--which was an awesome selection that naturally catered to guests with food restrictions or allergies without compromising on a great meal. The whole team at Sensational Paella went above and beyond for us, making sure we got a sample of the charcuterie platter all to ourselves, and bringing us plates of food right at the beginning of dinner. They even brought in and stacked all the chairs from our outdoor ceremony during dinner, which was really kind and saved us so much time at the end of the night. I couldn't recommend Sensational Paella more. If you want something unique that will really wow your guests, you cannot possibly go wrong with Julian and his team. Great people and great food.“

Everyone we worked with was extremely helpful and professional throughout the entire process. They guided us through the daunting task of designing our menu and beverage program, as well as assisted in our furniture and linen rentals. We always felt like we were in good hands. The food was absolutely stunning! Capers has a wide variety of interesting menu options, far beyond your typical wedding dishes. We ended up going with BBQ, Asian, and fall seasonal stations, in addition to an assortment of fun appetizers, plus gourmet donuts for dessert. The food was unique, gorgeous, and most importantly, absolutely delicious! They were also able to make special accommodations for our guests with dietary restrictions, so everybody left with a full belly. “Most don't realize that anyone can eat here. This is a true gem of a cafeteria in the basement of the BU Med student bldg. They serve incredibly great fresh Falafel based dishes and other Mediterranean faire including several vegan options. Absolutely scrumptious. They have a grill with standard various types of burger & fries including delicious vegan burgers. They usually have a variety of fresh soups that includes at least a vegan option. Huge selection of cold drinks in an extensive fridge wall. Anyone can eat here while they are open, but it seems mostly only BMC or BU staff and students are present. Their prices are incredibly affordable and a great value for large satisfying portions.“

The staff, a team of 4, arrived in plenty of time to set things up, decorate, prep the passed appetizers, organize beverages, and get ready. “So frigging good!! Be aware that unlike every other place where the traditional tacos are not spicy, they make their traditional spicy. So if you have kids that just want tacos, it will be spicy. But everything was delicious! Will be my go to if I see them at another event. I actually am thinking of hiring them for my grand opening event if they do that. 🖤“
