An awful and disgusting experience🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
I received a text last week saying they were offering 15% discount on a online order. We ordered online through their website to arrive for 6pm on Friday night. 6:20 and no order here so we called the restaurant and was informed order was on the way. We are 10 min drive from the restaurant and after another 30 min we called back. Sorrento's Bar & Pizzeria offers a mixed experience according to diners. The food, including the White Out pizza, was praised as terrific, especially the BBQ chicken pizza and garlic breadsticks. Many customers highlight that the Sorrento salad is the best in the city and a great choice for family or friends gatherings. The venue is small but features a cozy atmosphere with a focus on pastry-based dishes. Portions are generally large, and the pizza is often described as amazing. The restaurant tends to shine more when dining in rather than takeout, as some recent orders showed inconsistency; for example, one customer found their Sorrento pizza lacked toppings and was dry, while another noted that their salad was missing dressing. The staff sometimes experience busy days, which can affect service, and the decor, especially at the Grant Street location, may need a refresh. A notable plus is the roominess of the washrooms, accommodating those with mobility devices, though entry door disability devices are not always present. Gluten-free penne is available, but staff awareness of this can improve. Customers appreciate the homemade taste and aroma of items like soup and breadsticks, though service variability and decor issues can impact the overall experience. Despite these challenges, the restaurant remains a popular spot for hearty meals and family gatherings, with some locations offering standout dishes like cauliflower bites and bruschetta sticks.
