“The food and service is excellent. The wait staff is attentive. They gave us a free appetizer as a palate cleanser and free mini assorted cheesecake desserts. The sushi is awesome. My son had the TripleSushi Deluxe (soup, salad, and sushi were delicious). The rest of us ordered Paradise, Rock and Roll, Yama, and the Goldfish Rolls. All were fresh and tasted awesome. They also have sake, plum wine, and Japanese sodas. Yama Annapolis is a truly Japanese restaurant in food as well as culturally. A must dine while you’re in Annapolis.“

“This is my daughter's favorite restaurant! We love all of the food and tea! The staff and owner are wonderful and we love the atmosphere. My only complaint is that they have ruined all other bubble tea places for me. Whenever I get bubble tea from somewhere else it NEVER compares and is always a disappointment.“

“This place is great for takeout. I don’t know how they do it, but the food is always piping hot when we get home. We’re a good 15 minute drive and it’s always steaming. The food is tasty, never greasy and they’re always quick. They’re consistently good. Little things like adding a piece of cardboard at the bottom of your bag for extra support for the paper bag is a bonus so your food doesn’t bust through. It’s small details that make them great.“

“Review from 9/20/23
While not a very traditional sushi place, it still has great food and a nice ambience. Outdoor seating was great at the time and our waitress Ms. Becca was wonderful.
Miso soup was pleasant and filling. The edamame was, well, edamame, but nonetheless a good opener. Avocado salad was a little dry and uninspiring, but the flavor was decent, especially in tandem with the pine nuts.
The star of the appetizers, however, was definitely the yomato's tofu, which is always my friends and families' go-to. It's a little sweet, very crispy on the outside, with the savory taste of bonito flakes and soy wrapping the dish together; it's very filling and shareable as well, and definitely my biggest suggestion.
We tried the Kamikaze, Metropolitan, and Miami rolls. Of them, the Kamikaze was just fine; however, we enjoyed the Miami rolls and the Metropolitan was our favorite.“
