“Celebrated my partners bday here with family and it was a wonderful experience!We had a waitress who told us that she was new but she certainly delivered the BEST customer service. The waitress was very accommodating with our orders and made suggestions. Food was out of this world and beers were delicious. At the end of the dinner, the waitress took her time and put over 15 candles, which we had brought, onto the cake which truly shows how great the service is here. Will be returning to this place for sure.“

“My friend and I went to dinner to the Galway Bay Irish Restaurant and Pub tonight. It was cozy and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. I'd love to go back during one of the live music evenings.

We had the minted peas and corned beef appetizers- delicious! Next came our Shepherds Pies, which were also wonderful. We definitely enjoyed the food.

So now the bad part- our waitress (petite, long dark hair, no name tag) was terrible. She took our order and disappeared. Our appetizers finally showed up (brought by someone else) and we flagged down a different waitress for glasses of water because our bar drinks still hadn't come. Yet another person brought our entrees and we asked him about our drinks. Our waitress finally showed with our drinks... we literally hadn't seen her for half an hour. This bad service was during a non-crowded evening. What is the service like when it's busy?“

“It was very crowded that night. Our table was in a high traffic area that the waitress admitted isn't usually set up except when it gets crowded. We had made reservations and this dinner was a show special that I felt should have warranted a better table.... Anyway, it was extremely loud and even though we ordered dishes that weren't complex to fix, soup, salad and oysters, it took over 20 minutes for food to arrive. The salad and soup was very good. The oyster dish was ok, but really weird taste (I later got sick in the evening). Don't know if I can blame the oysters as my husband wasn't sick but.... He did have mild stomach issues. Anyway, our server was very sweet and attentive but I know pulled in many directions. We had reserved an hour before the show which should have been plenty of time but was really cutting close and we felt rushed towards the end.“

“I ordered the cabbage wraps and a cocktail. The cabbage wraps are a must. The mustard sauce is a show stealer. Excellent service James was at the bar serving and was fun to hang with.“

“I have been a patron at McGarvey's for years. I love your food and service. However, first time I have a complaint. I was anxious to try the crab balls, as pictured in your menu. Although they weren't horrible, they looked nothing like the picture on your menu, very disappointed. I expected pieces of white crab meat and we got very crusted, fried little round balls. I bragged to my grandson about the picture on your menu and it was certainly not what we got. I must say, it is the first thing I have been disappointed with. Either change the picture or take them off your menu.“
