“Oishi is easily one of our favorite restaurants in the area! We are huge fans of their Japanese fried rice and their amazing sushi. Everything is always incredibly fresh and tasty. On top of the great food, the staff is always so friendly and the restaurant is consistently clean. I highly recommend Oishi to anyone looking for fantastic Japanese food!”

“Great food and service. Been here many times. Had takeout on my latest visit and had wonderful pizza. The antipasto was fantastic, it had great meets, cheeses, roasted eggplant, etc. Highly recommend just for the antipasto.”

“Pretty convenient between classes, and the staff is super friendly as well. Wait times aren’t bad usually, if you order a small meal it’ll be ready fast. It’s a small location so it gets backed up during peak rush hours although all things considered the wait times aren’t terrible. The location on google maps is wrong however, it is actually located in the Health and Life sciences building and NOT in the CALT building.”

“Be cautious when ordering Starbucks at Arnold Safeway. Just watched the young lady blow her nose and go up inside with a finger from each hand and proceed to make drinks. I said something to the young man and he said something to her to wash her hands and she ignored him and went about making drinks and touching everything. I left and informed the manager as well.”

“Fantastic spot for a quick hot lunch. Variety of dishes to choose from with an economical lunch menu. Service is fast. One of my favorite dishes is the garlic shrimp. It comes with a thick dark sauce and fried rice. The chef makes some of the best fried rice I've ever tasted! The launch crowd is mostly hard-working Americans. The hot and sour saucer soup is deliciously spicy. There is a dining area. It's family friendly. The bathrooms are wheelchair accessible.”

“Naval Bagels has become one of those places you count on.

You walk in and the line is usually there. That tells you something before you even order.

The bagels come out right every time. Good chew. Fresh. Exactly what you want from a neighborhood bagel shop.

They don’t hold back on the cream cheese. The default spread is huge. If you like a thick layer, you’ll be happy. I usually ask for half and that still ends up being plenty.

The place runs like a classic local morning stop. Busy, fast moving, and full of regulars.

If you live nearby and want a dependable bagel, this is an easy choice. A solid local go-to.”
