This is my home airport that I use pretty frequently. I have never had any issues here and feel that the airport itself is pretty clean and I love the bars/restaurants they have near the gates. I have always had a good time even though waiting for flights can get rather boring.
Terminal 1: Always an efficient TSA experience here, even during high holiday travel seasons. Also a decent food court if you have time to grab a meal before your flight. The only Starbucks is in the B concourse and typically has a long line.

Nice airport, I like BWI, Made our trip safe and organized after getting off our flight. I got some Dunkin Donuts coffee inside the airport. Were lots of people traveling, but cases are inbetween Covid here. Protocol is really tight here, and the workers and security work professionally. Tickets are much cheaper to purchase here ri9ght now, So take advantage if you can. All in all , its a nice airport with lots of space to linger around.
