“I heard the stories about this place and it had been closed for a couple of years as the hotel it's in underwent renovation and ownership changes but it's back open and I couldn't be happier.
Steve the bartender is currently a one man show and we were there on the weekend it reopened and he was so happy to be back in his happy place. The man is a cocktail maven who loves his craft and what he does and his customers as well.
There is currently no menu here you ask for what you want or can tell Steve what you are in the mood for and he will make something amazing!
I got a smoked old fashioned that he smokes with his own blend of wood and spices and it was easily in the Top 5 of best old fashioneds I've ever had.
If you are in Fells Point looking for a cocktail and Anchor Tavern is open make sure you visit!“

“My friend and I have been trying Pubs and eateries in the Baltimore area and this one popped up on Trip Advisor. We decided to give it a try and we are glad we did. This is a friendly neighborhood Pub and Grill that screams good food & service. The lady running the grill should be named a grill master with everything she makes. The burgers are at least ¾ of a pound of quality beef and made exactly the way you ask and the fries are freshly cut and prepared. I also had the Jerk Chicken strips, which were delicious (Not the quantity I expected for $12.00) but very good. I saw the wings come out for someone else and they looked good too. The young lady making drinks was exceptional with her knowledge of mixology. I am going to make it a point to bring my neighbor and her boyfriend here next time. I live on the North side of Baltimore city, but this is worth the drive.“
“This bar is the perfect mix of nostalgia, eclectic funk, and delightful interesting people. Came here on a Sunday afternoon to listen to some live music. Everybody is friends here they have tons of beer on tap, yummy cocktail. And the type of decor that keeps you discovering something every minute. Shout out to David and Morgan for taking such good care of their patrons. Will be spending my whole summer here! Rock on! 🤘 💕🙌🏽“

“I was on vacation and visited “The Horse You Came in On” and it ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. The atmosphere was incredible, from the moment I walked in, the energy of the crowd and the vibe of the space made it feel special. The staff were friendly and helpful, and grabbing a drink at the bar was quick and easy!! Can’t wait to visit again! The Owner Eric is a great guy as well!!“

“Let me start off by saying I visited this quaint little pub for the first time on 2/25. It's not located in the greatest of neighborhoods but it is well worth the risk of bodily harm to visit. The beer is cold, the bartender was a peach and like a previous reviewer stated, there is even a friendly little fella that lives on a dog bed there. I think he is more of a beer gnome than a hobbit though. He wasn't so friendly at first but once he got a few beers in him he cheered right up. Great place, 5 stars for sure“

“Came for only a few nights to Baltimore from Texas. People are friendly.. staff is also as well as attentive. Ruben sandwich was great according to my take next to me the blt was just as good. Prices are average but atmosphere and people make it better! Will come back tomorrow before I leave!“

“I go to foleys all the time and I love it there! The wings are amazing and I love all the Guinness combos they have. The only thing that would make it better is if there was a tv in place of the chalkboard that is above the middle of the bar. If you’re sitting in the middle of the bar you have to crane your neck around to watch anything, having a tv there would be awesome!“

“My wife and I were in Baltimore for a wedding and stayed the night. The next morning we found Ale Mary's for brunch, and it was incredible. The prices are so reasonable, the food was delicious and the service was so friendly. We live in Northern Virginia but this place is seriously worth the trip up 95.“

The place is a treasure. TEACHERS, This place is a great meet up location. Great seating make this place a great gathering or meeting place.
As. Notary this is closer than some major fast foods to meet with customers for their signings.“

“This is a great local bar with a lot of character. You won't find friendlier people anywhere. Classic old school decor inside and on the night we were there, DJs spinning the disks at your request. Wander upstairs and check out the record store while you're there. This is a must hang in Baltimore.“

“Last week We decided to try pubdog for the first time post covid. The food was just as delicious as I remembered, we got the Thai chicken pizza and the dog pound (I think 🤔 It had pepperoni, sausage, chicken it was great) they're beer selection was different than I remember, a few of the house ciders were missing from the menu though it may just be a seasonal thing, Hopefully. That being said best thing was staff they were so kind & accommodating.“

“For a bar on the outside it’s not like a looker but don’t let that steer you away. They have a small food menu but they do it Good. I got chicken tenders and a chicken cheesesteak both were yummy. If you want a cool afternoon drink and lunch with a chill vibe this is the spot. The bar tender Sharon was very polite and sweet and the cook even came out to deliver the food to us. I would highly recommend this bar for budget food and drink for a good buck👍🤟“

“Almost a 5 star rating. very close. The staff was fun an attentive, the atmosphere is the type of dive bar I appreciate. And the food was good, but not great.
The fried pickle BLT was good an I would order it again, but this is crab territory, the crab dip should have been better. I would NOT order that again.
But, the pickle BLT ... 100% ... order it.“

“Wow! No wonder The Wren has been voted one of the best in the country! We got there on a Thursday at around 640p and got a table right away! Incredible meal, perfectly presented, and wonderful service! Loved the selections and again amazing and so inventive! Definitely will spread the word and return again!“
