“I enjoyed my order as it was fresh, hot, and tasty. The service was a bit odd, but pretty good overall. My only suggestion would be to let the plantains cook a little longer to get more color on them. It's a mall food court, and I don't expect much more than a fast casual setting.“

“After a visit to the amazing Go-Go museum we took our appetites and experienced excellent customer service from host, server & Owner. Even with a couple of menu items not being available the food was delicious, decor is relaxing, & welcoming. Owner made a table visit with a smile and great conversation. “Born and raised in southeast Texas and been here about six months. I’ve been missing Cajun food. We got the catfish poboy with fries, side of beans and rice, and New Orleans BBQ shrimp. Everything hit the mark. The bread and New Orleans shrimp tasted exactly how they should, perfect. Beans were soft and flavorful with shredded meat and sausage in there. Wish the catfish was seasoned a little more but that’s probably just my preference.

Hope to try the beignet fries if they bring them back.“

“First time ordering here. I ordered a dozen #1 crabs for take out. The crabs were ready when I arrived and bag was hot.

When I got home poured them out everything looked good. Crabs were lightly seasoned as I requested. Some places pour a huge amount of seasoning into the bag and then you can’t see the crabs well and the bag has a ton of left over seasoning.

JC Crab House put just the right amount of seasoning in my opinion. Crabs were all good and no dried ones or mushy ones.

The only negative is that for $100 for what they charge for a dozen #1, you can get a dozen of large crabs at Conrad’s Crab house in Parkville Md.

Crabs there are equally as good (different slightly spicier seasoning) but JC Crab house is a good option if you aren’t going to drive all the way to Parkville.“

The manager Imai came to our table numerous times to make sure everything was good. Please go to Miss Toyas in Silver Springs Md the food and customer service will not disappoint you.“

“What an experience! I came from Alabama on a work trip. My fellow employees and I were trying to find a seafood restaurant and stumbled upon this restaurant on a Wednesday. And boy did we hit the jackpot! The food was amazing first off. Second off, we had been wanting to do karaoke and there was a DJ! We sang at the table while we were eating and had such an amazing time. The atmosphere is phenomenal! “I went to this place specifically for the bourbon chicken as it is a favorite. It was terrible, dry and without any sauce at all. However, the black pepper chicken was great. The fried rice and the mixed vegetables were very good also. The service was good and staff was friendly.“

“worst service ever. My family and I actually had to walk out and we were a group of 10. They did not want to serve us and I was told I should of made reservations. I watched the waitress/server clean other people’s table and completely ignore us. A customer who was a regular had to wipe down my table for us (I should’ve walked out then )but we drove an hour to come here And we were trying to just deal with the poor customer service so we can eat. Customers that were seated after us were able to order before us and receive their food. when we finally had the opportunity to order food we were told that they were out of oxtails pork and fish which made no sense because people were still ordering takeout for the same items we were trying to order.. You would think we were sitting there for free meals. The waitress told me she was going to the back to check to see what they have but when she came back she went to the bar area and started taking someone else’s orders and completely ignored us .We ended up walking out with no apology given. She Just looked at us as if she was happy to see us go because she couldn’t handle a table size of 10 people. All we were trying to do was support our Haitians. Its a shame we were treated so poorly. I suggested this restaurant to my family who drove an hour to be treated so poorly .Do not visit this restaurant“

“I don’t normally do reviews but I had to this time, so my cousin came from Mexico last week, she doesn’t understand nor speak any English other than the basics, I was parking my car and told her to go ask the cashier for a large fry until I come in, by the time I came in I saw my cousin typing on someone’s phone, it seems that the cashier had gave her own phone to understand what she was saying, this is the second time I came here, last time the other cashier had turned another customer as they don’t speak Spanish but this cashier went out of her way to help her, it made me a little emotional. ? her hair is big just like her personality! The waitress informed us there was a larger party on the other side of the restaurant, and that is why our food was taking so long. A paying customer is a paying customer whether the party is large or small. I would like to give one more chance before I decide not to patronize this Hyattsville location again.“
