Great experience at this restaurant!
Kind service, good food, quality side dishes. Everything was served piping hot, which was a huge plus. Taste wise, all of the dishes were a bit on the milder end. Not a good or bad thing. Just a personal preference thing.
It's a bit pricey, but I can't complain too much because the food was delicious.
They never disappoint, my fav spot in Bethesda, a must see for any visitor or resident. Can’t recommend enough!
On our way from Virginia to NJ, stopped off at this google recommended restaurant! In desperate need of revival from some hot soup of a rainy long drive! What a gem! The owner was so kind! Food was like halmeoni (grandma) made it! Flavors were on point! Loved the kimchi (cabbage) and kkakdugi (radish) so much we bought some to take home! …

House of MILAE offers authentic Korean cuisine in a great location in Bethesda. The restaurant has ample seating and easy parking across the street. The atmosphere may need an update, but the food makes up for it with numerous and tasty Korean side dishes, including cabbage kimchi and fish cakes. The Kimchi Fried Rice with pork is a flavorful highlight, with a great combination of spicy, sweet, and savory flavors. The spot is cozy, and the wait staff is awesome and attentive. The manager is described as one of the best people, and the kitchen is absolutely on point. This is one of the last few old gems of downtown Bethesda, serving quality authentic Korean cuisine. The menu features well-seasoned and comforting dishes, including beef gimbap, kimchi fried rice, kimchi jigae, and tteokguk stews. For an absolute treat, the beef galbi and pork belly are served on a cast iron hot plate. The owner is exceptionally friendly, and his genuineness and sense of humor complete the experience. While the seafood pancakes could use some more seafood freshness, and the tofu soup could be more flavorful, the overall experience is great, with comforting food and excellent service.
