I do love Jetties...BUT my favorite sandwich, the Clark Clove, has gone SO DOWN in the last two years it is not even good anymore. Just poorly made (all turkey, very little anything else) and soggy bread. I tried the new Smash Mash today for $5. It came in a tiny container. Fine if its delicious. It wasnt. Tasted like they didnt use salt at all. Mashed potatoes need at least a pinch of salt.
Beautiful interior. You place your order on the self-service CRTs. Staff looks hard at work behind the counter, but one of them took the time to help an elderly woman place her special order. That was nice to see! The Washing Pond Salad was delicious with string beans, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, sliced boiled eggs, and tuna flakes in a Dijon vinaigrette dressing. The flavor and quality of ingredients seems good. The bread was soft and the au jus on the Monomoy I ordered was great. The problem is that the value isn’t there. It’s served in a sub roll with hardly any meat. Seriously, I removed a quarter of the side of the roll because it wasn’t needed. I normally will eat half a sub, but I ate nearly the whole thing bc the quantity of meat was so small. For a almost $15 sandwhich I was expecting more.
