“Once you try one of the Sunshine Store's sandwiches, you will wonder why it took so long to try one! 😊 My husband and father in law introduced me to this hidden pleasure the first time I visited the area. We started with breakfast (tasting the local culinary treasure of scrapple), then I was introduced to their burgers on the same trip, and I was surprised that everything is cooked to order. I have not found any burger yet that is close to comparison!! My husband's family has made this a regular stop for sandwiches over several decades and generations. My father in law (nearby farmer/owner of Greenstone Custom Farming) has eaten there for several decades along with feeding his crew from this hidden gem, this has been a favorite of my husband's since he was old enough to eat there, and now it is a favorite place for our children to eat with grandpa. The store is small and with limited seating, it would be best to order the food to go or if you are eating alone you can sit at the counter and watch your food be prepared. A must try in the area and definitely worth the drive through the beautiful countryside!“

“I picked this place off of Google for a quick lunch alone and it was awesome. I got the salmon kebab. The bread and chickpeas starter is expertly done. The salmon kebab was good and the salad was big and good quality. It’s fast food speed food, but better and healthier.“

“The cauliflower taco on the sprouted grain tortilla is a little messy but so worth it. Kale is much better than what normally comes on a taco, and the flavor doesn’t overwhelm as kale is known to do. From the sauces, there is a good heat which was a nice surprise the first time. My favorite item on the menu which also has other great items!“

When my reservation was ready I went to celebrate my daughters birthday at this restaurant I was very happy they were planned and prepared for us for our arrival we were greeted with the beautiful Kamala she was wonderful awesome professional kind patient and just so helpful and just made our day. Everyone at this restaurant is really really nice. The food was incredible really really great crabcakes nothing to think about because everything was fantastic from the drinks to the desserts and the celebrations for my daughter’s Birthday. “I saw a brochure of the restaurant on my door when I came home and decided to try the restaurant. I ordered a salad and a pizza. The pizza was amazing but the service was exceptional. Mh uber driver stole my bowl of salad and blamed the restaurant for it. When I called the manager reassured everything was given to him and went above and beyond to prove it by sending me a picture of him personally handing the food to the guy.. I've never experienced such an incredible service and I will for sure order again in the future. I am 100% recommending this restaurant“

There is even a focus on low calorie items (delicious) so you can spend your calories on the beer, or just enjoy table conversation while not glued to your phone screen. The signature beer offering in a "yard" doesn't match the German two liter size, which is probably a good thing. Go take a couple of laps around the Rio lake to spend some of the calories you consumed, or even head west to find a good book at Barnes & Noble (still around and even growing).“
