“I have been meaning to post this a month ago, but better late than never. I just want to say this is a very hard working black owned business! The owners are COMMITTED to making sure they serve excellence! I had a bad experience one visit, from the food to the service from the assistant at the register. I was utterly shocked! Now I have been several times and instead of getting on social media trashing them, I kindly inboxed their page and the owners called me immediately. They apologized first, remedied the situation, and spoke to the staff about their service! Problem solved, I ate good, and will continue to! Good Eats to you all at M&D!! 🖤“

“I go almost every Sunday for their Brunch menu and its to die for! The chicken and waffles are amazing and so is the apple cinn sweet tea. I definitely recommend this spot!“

“First time ordering from this restaurant and we were very pleasantly surprised, everything was delicious! The kitchen has 3 different cooks and they all make their menus, take out only. The employees are exceptional, very friendly and truly grateful for the business. We ordered salmon stuffed with crab meat. It was an dish that you don't see often and it was great, good size as well. We also got fried shrimp, they were very tender and done just right. I loved the mac and cheese, I appreciate it wasn't the common instant cheese sauce, but an actual smokey cheese. The employee Sam was great, opened boxes for us and showed everything we're getting, thanked us for coming and encouraged us to come back. They'll be making family size dishes for holidays as well. We'll definitely be back.“

“Our team of 17 held its end of season luncheon at Della J’s Alexandria VA. The entire experience (e.g., establishment, food, service, etc.) was awesome! The staff… It started with Q&A with the hostess (Yvette), who also walked me thru the website to view menu options and how to make an online reservation. Then there was the manager (Catrina) who clearly explained the reservation process, payment and the services to be provided on the day of the reservation. And lastly, our server (Maria) worked the party solo! She was professional, organized and went above and beyond accommodating every request with a smile. I would definitely return.“
