“Royal Taj is our go-to restaurant for special occasions, like our 20th Wedding Anniversary last week. It never fails to deliver excellence. Because it was a very special dinner, we decided to try something different. So my wife ordered the Lobster Malabar and I ordered the Grilled Halibut. Both were very good, especially the Halibut which was covered in an outstanding Corn Relish. To top off the evening our excellent server, Joshi, brought us a slice of very tasty cheesecake with a lit candle on top. “This place does not disappoint! The matcha bubble tea I ordered was one of the best bubble teas I have ever had. It was creamy and the perfect amount of sweetness and tapioca pearls. “Everything that we ate was wonderful. It was five of us in my party and we came after church. There was a DJ there which is fine, but the music was too loud for us to hear each other talk. I feel the music should just be background noise and not at the same volume as if I was at the club. Other than that, the service and food was awesome.“

“The chicken mole California burrito was really really good - specifically the tortilla and the mole and beans. Everything tasted homemade and delicious. The carnitas super burrito was also really well made and the guacamole was good.

The cold brew was the best cold brew I’ve tried (I’ve had about 10) - it was really chocolatey and delicious.

The reasons for 4 stars is that I didn’t like how the portions were a bit small for the price. The chips and guac was $12 and seemed to involve about 1 or 2 avocados.

The burritos were filling - appreciated and needed the salsa verde that came with them! But still a bit pricy.

These views might also be influenced by the fact I felt pressured by the card machine at the register to tip more than 20% before the food came. The first screen that pops up when paying has only 3 suggested tips: 25, 22, and 20% - the highest I’ve seen on one of these apps. In total it came to $63 for 2 burritos, 1 chips and guac, and 2 cold brew coffees including tip which feels very expensive. We also were accosted by wasps on the patio that tried to get into our food, so that’s a reason for the 4 star atmosphere.

Nevertheless I would recommend this place - if you’re not worried about the price and savvy enough to tip appropriately/not accidentally.

The food is Greek Mediterranean. In comparison to Chipotle. I prefer CAVA food. It is definitely healthier.

“This is a little cozy spot. Seems like there are local regulars here and it's family run. So I knew the food wouldn't disappoint and it sure didn't. The food here tastes very homemade and clean without compromising on taste.

Soft Chicken Tacos (8/10) - From the very first bite I knew it was fresh and everything tasted spot on. The rice and beans were decent too.

Chimichanga (9.5/10) - This was probably the best thing I've had here. It's perfectly delicious, wasn't overly greasy and heavy. It was perfect. This one might be the go to for most people.

Patron Platter (9/10) - This dish was also spot on, but the pork tamale 🫔 was just what it needed to be a complete dish. A great option if you're feeling a variety of food.

Tres Leches (8/10) - While this wasn't the best I've had, it by no means disappointed. The cake was good but more importantly it was sweetened perfectly. I've been to too many spots that over do it, so it was nice to find a spot that gets it right for a change. I recommend this one for dessert.“
