“Pardon the Late Review.Couldn't forget to thank Xtreme Ramen and Bun for their fresh and delightful dishes. When vacationing nearby, this establishment was a blessing! My friend was suffering from a bad case of food poisoning acquired from a hot food bar on super bowl Sunday. So, when finding a place to eat, we had to be extremely cautious.Thankfully, we came across Xtreme Ramen and Bun.The first dish tried was the vegetable ramen. When I tell you this is the only fresh and authentic cuisine offered at the Apollo, I'm not over exaggerating. The bowl was filled with a variety of beautiful vegetables and a mild broth. The first thing my friend was able to eat with their sick stomach. Of the dish I loved the mushrooms! They tasted as though they were seasoned well before marrying the broth. Overall, anyone with a tender stomach would benefit from this comfort dish.On our next visit, we had the Tonkotsu Ramen. This dish is more hearty than the previous bowl. The egg was cooked to perfection and so were the tofu pieces! There's a full Umami sensation with each bite. Overall, I must say we regretted trying another location on a different day during our trip. Lesson learned, when in the area- Xtreme Ramen and Bun is the only choice! You're not eating anything that's commercial- rather, you're taking a bite from home.Thank you for the delicious meals. I look forward to you again next year!Vegetarian options: Tofu is offered in place of meat.Dietary restrictions: If gluten is an issue or if you have a sensitive stomach - then this establishment is the best for you. “Should you eat here? Simple answer: YES! My friend RAVES about this restaurant constantly, and I never understood her obsession until she brought me here a couple weeks ago. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu... really. Hands down some of the best sushi + sides I've ever had. There's not really a way to put into words how amazing the food, service, and full experience was! Definitely look to make a reservation a few weeks in advance, especially if you plan to come by on Friday/the weekend!“

“Bottom line up front, Cranes is a MUST for DC’s Winter Restaurant Week! From the hostess's accommodation of our late arrival, friendly greeting, and front door coat check to our waiter’s, Elmer, and wait staff’s attentive service throughout our visit, Cranes was superb! “The spot is very cozy and small . The place was really busy for a Sunday afternoon. I came here with with a friend based on his previous experience and we were not disappointed. We had a bit of a wait when we first entered the restaurant because of how popular and small the restaurant is it is. Be prepared to wait also ,it is a bit cramped and there isn't ample space between tables. I ordered the Sakuramen Ramen with Chicken Spice Level 4 . The amount of noodles given was sufficient, and the broth was really hot and flavorful. Will be back to try more of the menu when in Adams Morgan“

“Delicious food and excellent service! The ‘Ceviche Clásico’ which is offered with the fish of the day is deliciously and freshly prepared. I also recommend the ‘Concolón’: a crispy fried rice pot which is prepared table side…very tasty! We capped our lunch off with the ‘Suspiro Limeña’ for dessert and some Pisco Sours to drink. All delicious.“

“First time here in Downtown Alexandria. Service was excellent, fast and polite. Food was amazing. Offer over looked are the bathrooms. Very clean. Great decor and atmosphere. Would definitely eat here again. If you are in the area, stop by and try their food. You will not regret it.“

“Wow everything we tried looked beautiful and tasted amazing. Pork and kimchi potstickers, veggie dumplings, green beans, and smashed salmon are what we tried. I don’t think you can go wrong. Love that you can order everything through toast tab too. Makes it simple.“

“It's been so exciting to see an entirely plant-based concept be so successful and expanding so rapidly and now that I have visited I absolutely see why. This was one of the best meals I've had in a while. My friend and I had been dying to try their plant-based sushi and not only did it blow us away but the other dishes we tried were equally as incredible. Here's what we got for two people. We were quite full and took some leftovers: - ahi watermelon nigiri (2 pieces) x 2: If you didnt know this was made of watermelon you could absolutely mistake it for the real thing. The texture is mind blowing and the flavor is on point. Amazing way to start the meal (and end it because we ended up ordering another round to finish our meal) - unagi eggplant nigiri (2 pieces) x 2: So delicious. Definitely must order. The eggplant is super tender, just like eel. - spicy tuna roll: we ordered the hand roll but I think the server misheard so we ended up with the maki but it wasn't a big deal and i wasn't upset to get to try their take on maki rolls. I think their rice could use some work but this was still tasty! - Dan Dan noodles: incredible. Our server advised us to get the Dan Dan noodles over the Singapore noodles entirely because of the saucy-ness of this dish and he did not steer us wrong. These noodles are drowning in sauce (in the best way) Even though it's a peanut sauce it was perfectly balanced and creamy. The noodles themselves had a great chew and the use of kamut (a grain) in the dish as a substitute for the traditional ground pork was inspired. - bang bang broccoli: broccoli has never tasted this good. I mean it, not only is the broccoli is shockingly crispy while being perfectly cooked through the center, but the broccoli itself tasted so creamy and delicious unlike any broccoli I have had before. And the bang bang sauce is bangin too. All this being said, if you are trying to be choosy and try the most unique dishes, I would probably skip this dish in favor of more sushi. Overall, this was an incredible, unique, and innovative meal and I can't wait to go back to try more of the menu. This is how vegetables could and should taste, if only we put as much love into them as we do with meat. At least the chefs at Planta are listening.“

“Today I was in this place, and my first impression when I saw the beef soup I ordered was that it was very good, abundant and light, we also ordered some wings with the sauces on the side, and the frying of the wings was on point, crispy and juicy inside, it has been a very good experience, pleasant music and very good service. “I never have this a fried calamari in some where else. Only Sumo thai served 2 different sauces for it.It makes this dish pop up and so yummy until a last bite. All sushi is very good quality and rice wrapping is very thin. Mango sticky rice is nice presentation in a heart shaped. We will be back again. ??“

“This food was really tasty. The free garlic glass noodles were delicious. We had bao buns with pork and it had a great flavor and spice. The impossible bulgogi was impressive and a nice alternative since I don't eat beef. I would definitely come again when I want really tasty food.“

This daytime only, casual looking lunch spot hides great sushi.Decor is utilitarian and reminds me of Tokyo business office worker lunch spots.I've been five times and all the fish has been fresh and expertly prepared.Sushi snob makes going into the office less painful.If fish is not for you, my buddy consistently has the beef Pho and loves it. “Pretty easy breezy "Chipotle-style" causal Asian restaurant. I like BIBIBOP in general because customers has multiple options to create their own personalized bowls. Actually, I wonder if someone has calculated the number of possible bowl combination. This location is pretty clean with a decent amount of seating for small parties (2-3 people). Also, thought the workers at this location were EXTREMELY friendly and polite. While I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at a BIBIBOP, I definitely would revisit this location if I'm in the mood for a rice and noodle bowl and in the area (e.g., within 4-8 blocks of this location).“

“The food is consistently very good I love the tea service and the very large dining room downstairs. The staff are usually helpful and somewhat friendly. I wouldn't say the food is great value but it's a decent value for current Washington DC prices. The Teaism brew shop next-door, which I never realized was there until 2024 because the signage is so inconspicuous, has some really fantastic selections. Their buyer/curator has excellent taste !“

“This is our favorite sushi place in Old Town. Have been coming here since they opened maybe five years ago. The owner used to be a sushi chef at MoMo Sushi, which used to be our local favorite. His sushi here has consistently been top quality whereas we were disappointed with quality once or twice at MoMo and its always too cramped. We usually get the sushi combo.“

It can be all plant based - I asked for mushrooms, spinach and broccoli to be added/substituted for the chicken, and with no hesitation they accommodated me! I'm so pleased with this Union Station fast casual option, located on the second level. If you take the stairs opposite the Amtrak ticket counter, you'll find it with big open air seating. This dish also includes tofu, vegetables, rice sticks & egg noodle combination in a coconut curry broth, with bean sprouts, fresh! green beans, and corn. Amazing, and spicy warm. “We are from NYC. Had lunch with my family here and left my backpack in the restaurant. The guy in the front found my bag and hold my bag till I contacted him 2 hours later. “I found this place just walking around DC near my job and it has really good food for decent prices and reasonable portions. The first time I went I got the chicken tenders and fries and there were like 6-7 big tenders and the tray it was in was covered in fries. I just got the mini box today with chicken teriyaki and I finished it. I recommend it to anyone going there.“

“Exactly what I want out of my casual Asian dining. Small place, unassuming, and old looking menu often mean the food is about to be great. We got the pork dumplings and pork buns. Both were packed with flavor. The chili sauce on the table was spicy enough to bring one single tear to my eye, perfect. Wish it wasn't cash only and that they had some music playing so it wasn't so quiet, but overall great experience and would recommend.“
