“I recommend GCDC… for the Mac & Cheese! It’s creamy and delicious. The toastiness of the sourdough options are spot on - not too toasty. Food comes out quick and hot!“

“Came late night on a Wednesday just for drinks and this place did not disappoint! Drink menu by itself was creative well priced and expertly crafted. Tom was our Bartender who indulged all my cocktail questions and mods. Felt like I made a friend! Highly recommend.“

“We came from out of state (NC) and just happened to Google bars around and this popped up. Hands down the best time we had. Luke, the bartender, was funny and amazing. We ended up going back the next day just to see him before we left town. Definitely will be back!“

“By far the best chili I've ever had!! I guess their mozzarella sticks were on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and Guy Fieri thought they were amazing. I liked them too. Second time back and when I'm in DC for biz I'll be going each time.“

“Great pub for watching NFL, NCAA, Soccer any sport! Great staff bar tenders, for bar food not bad. The beer is cold! Watched several games here, always a good time, outside seating, and also has a TV.“

“In a dive bar where secrets are spun,
Where romances fade or begun,
Children conceived,
Mystique is achieved,
A haven for drinks and some fun.
A spot where the locals unite,
For a cheap drink that’s always just right.
A great place to be,
With fine company,
A community hub every night.“

“The ladies here are ALWAYS on their game. Best fried chicken in DC; Tina is a phenom! Tomeka and Ratika are amazing drink slingers and the views just CAN'T be beat. The new enclosure will be a huge boon when the sun trades out for wetter weather.
Parking: Lots of spots!
Kid-friendliness: They have a good kids menu“

“I went at noon and it was not crowded at all, and it was quiet, a big bonus for me these days. No loud music and people shouting in order to converse over it. The food was very good, very fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant for Asian fusion cuisine and sushi.“

“Nice spot to go to for music, a dance floor and drinks. Keith and Vanessa were really nice at the bar. Music was good as well with a lot of people dancing. This is also an officially sponsored Buffalo Bills bar, unfortunately no table breaking lol. No issues occurred while I went on a Saturday night when it started getting busy. Overall I would recommend you check out if you're looking for music, a dance floor and drinks. Can't remember if they had a DJ though, but the music mix was good.“

“This is a good hood haven. Plenty of locals. Good conversations and friendly vibes. Its core operates as a pool hall. (You may have to wait your turn to get on a table) Karaoke night is always fun. The bar tenders are excellent. They really take care of you. The kitchen, these days seems to be rented out, so the consistency of the menu isn't always the best. I go for the social aspect. One of my favorite watering holes. It's definitely in the cut and hidden away in the tuck. IYKYK.“

“First time here and I was pleasantly surprised. The drinks were good, strong and inexpensive. The food was even better. Definitely a favourite of mine when I want a good drink and some food with it. I had the pork chop sandwich with fries and it was good. Seasoned and fried just right. Definitely two thumbs up for me. The staff were quick and attentive which was really good since the place was a bit crowded. Easy to get too ... right off of 210. Check it out if you haven't.“

“Canopy Central Café & Bar offers an exceptional brunch experience with their standout dish, the chicken and waffles. Without a doubt, it's the highlight of their menu. We also tried the tacos, but they couldn't hold a candle to the deliciousness of the chicken and waffles. The restaurant boasts spectacular views of the Warf, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to experience. The atmosphere is lovely and casual, perfect for a leisurely brunch. However, I felt that it could benefit from some background music to enhance the ambiance. What truly sets Canopy Central apart is their outstanding service. The server and hostess went above and beyond to accommodate our group, which unexpectedly grew from 5 to 8 people during brunch. The server was especially kind and even took special care of my little kid, which we greatly appreciated. Overall, we had an amazing time at Canopy Central Café & Bar, and we'll definitely be returning for the stellar service we received. If you're looking for a great meal with a fantastic view and top-notch service, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!“
“Nice service and friendly staff here. Van was very pleasant and an expert barkeep. The pizza came out great. Nice place to grab a bit and a drink with good happy hour deals.
Wheelchair accessibility: Elevators available as the bar restaurant is on the 2nd floor“

“One of my favorite places to go. The food is very solid and service/atmosphere can't be beat. Prices don't feel like I'm being ripped off either like much of DC has gotten to. Management is super friendly and great to work with. Always look forward to spending time here with my friends!“

“This is a Bay Area sports bar in DC! The hubby & I visited while we were on vacation to watch the 49er season opener against the Jets & had a blast! The staff was wonderful, the owner Gracie ( we didn't know she was the owner until the end of the night) was rocking it, and the crowd was AWESOME! Being season ticket holders, the energy felt like we were at a game. Anytime we're in DC, we'll be back.... on a side note, we found out our niece had a blast here watching the 2014 Giants World Series.
If youre a sports lover, especially Bay Area sports, this is THE PLACE to be!“

“Small place but full of life! I have been told that it is a nice spot to hang out after work amd that they have good wings. I am a vegetarian so I can't confirm, but I have picked up wings for others from this spot so apparently they are popular....“

“219 is a long standing Cajun restaurant. Always a delight and too long between trips. We share an appetizer of a GIANT pretzle with beer cheese. I had the Gulf shrimp creole and my wife had the NOLA shrimp and grits. Both were great. For desert we shared a chocolate mouse cake.“

“You have to come for brunch. Just come. The brunch deal is incredible — it’s only $32 for an entree and bottomless drinks, which is unbelievable in general and crazy for this city specifically. If you get James as your server you’ll be especially well taken care of, but everyone we met was swell! Definitely make your way over, as the location is convenient for the metro too.“

“Spent 5 nights in D.C. and found this as it was next door to my hotel. What a find. Friendliest bar staff in D.C., great atmosphere and good beer. Would really recommend if in the McPherson Square area.“
“Stopped in for a nightcap and had a great chat with Super the mixologist. If you stop by you must try Super's Cosmo, it is award-winning. I had spicy version and it is quite spicy but you can absolutely get the original that is not spicy at all.“

“Saw Rare Essence at Fast Eddie's recently on a Friday night. Wasn't too crowded. Sound was loud closer to the stage but still enjoyable!
Bartender was friendly. Hot buffalo wings were on point!
It would be cool if they had more lights on stage covering the band. Stage lighting seemed low compared to the rest of the venue. The show was still ?????“
