But the star of the meal was the Italian meatball appetizer, which could be a meal to itself. Let me say that my mother’s side is Southern Italian from outside of Naples, and was part of the immigrant generation 100 years ago that invented spaghetti and meatballs. I have never had a restaurant meatball that compares to our family recipe. Until now. This comes very close. Big meatballs, full of flavors, made with care, excellent sauce. I was so pleased. The decor is bright, the owners are friendly, the vibe is a warm neighborhood spot. It is a short walk from the Shady Grove Metro Station, on the other side of 355 from King Farm. This neighborhood has needed a place like this for a long time. Great meal, nice experience.“

Their specialty was pizza and for high quality artisanal pizza, their prices were ranging from $15-22 per personal pizza which I found pretty comfortable. They had unique menu options and it really felt like they put energy into their food. There are two Ledo’s in my hometown and while dough, sauce and cheese is always a winning combo, the taste at these two Ledo’s is consistently inconsistent. I overheard that the Damascus Ledo’s is the best one and taste just like the original in College Park. Hands-down, I gotta say it does. It was worth the 20 minute drive. “Came here twice while in town for Thanksgiving. Our first experience was bad. We ate in the restaurant and while we had a great waitress, our appetizers came out after our meals. I heard the waitress asking over and over again where our appetizers were. It was a frustrating experience. However, the pizza was outstanding on both our in-person dining and our carry-out. The front staff and waitress were all super sweet. I think the problem must have been with the cooking staff.“

The server who took our order was not exactly rude, but he was almost non-conversational and did not seem to want to be there at all. If it wasn't for him, we would have given a five star. “I am from Baltimore and while working in Germantown I wanted something to eat other than fast food. I went into Paisano's around 530pm and was greeted so nicely by a young woman. I did not want a sub because Montgomery Co normally you get a steak um and that is what I am used too. I ordered the chicken Parmigian with pasta. Wow the sauce was amazing, pasta was perfect, the breaded chicken was covered in cheese. The garlic bread was so good. Great price, large portion that I could not finish. I told the girl behind counter that the food was awesome and it made this fatboy happy. I am 6'4 & 280lbs and I wanted to hug everyone but I did not want to scare anyone. Thank you!“

“Last week, I got their chicken fettuccine Alfredo & it was absolutely amazing! I assumed it would be good because so many people were coming in & out ordering pasta & pizza. It was delicious!!! I wanted it again but I was on Shady grove rd & decided to get it again, thinking it was the same recipe; it wasn’t. This was last night & I am so disappointed! It wasn’t as seasoned & the sauce was foamy which I didn’t like so that was a wasted money. I will return to the Germantown loc. next week to get another order. So, be prepared to see me. 🥰

“I had issues ordering online, tried calling but no answer on the phone so I just went in to order in person. The staff were bilingual, super courteous, and efficient! Turns out my online ordering issue was bc Amex isn't accepted here? Though online Amex was listed as an acceptable payment. Additional bummer is that ordering in person I couldn't use my coupon.
So definitely order ahead online for more savings and use Visa, that works.

“I previously rated the store 4 stars around 2020, but now in 2025 I would give it a 5. This Whole Foods is among the most reliable and reasonable among other grocery chains, especially Wegmans (my former go-to until a couple years back, when I noticed the produce quality decreasing and overall prices increasing). Even on a busy weekend, the shelves are consistently stocked, and produce quality is generally very good (not perfect, but much better than other grocery chains). I especially love the newer Amazon palm scanners, which make checkout lightning fast. I visit every week.“

Because I have a tendency to eat the whole thing by myself in 1 sitting I no longer go there unless I'm at that strip mall for another reason, i.e., Cannabis Shop, Dry Cleaners. Although I now try to limit myself to 2 to 3 pieces per sitting, on my 3rd sitting on this one I ate the rest of it which was 5 maybe 6 pieces.
