“This was my first time there. The waitress took forever to come take our order. When had been there about 30 minutes before the other people who sat at our table came and she started taking their order before ours. I ordered some bacon and cheese fries and they were awful. Put them in the oven to melt the cheese so cheese was hard and fries were dry.“

“During our visit to Washington, our family had the pleasure of dining at this remarkable restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the atmosphere — the interior breathes history, with the establishment dating back to 1946. We spent quite some time admiring the vintage photographs and décor, which allowed us to truly feel the soul of the place.
An elderly gentleman who served us was incredibly kind and welcoming, patiently helping us choose from the menu. We ordered delicious pasta and mozzarella sticks — everything was full of flavor and very reasonably priced.
This restaurant is a true gem, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. A warm, authentic, and memorable experience.“

“We came from out of state (NC) and just happened to Google bars around and this popped up. Hands down the best time we had. Luke, the bartender, was funny and amazing. We ended up going back the next day just to see him before we left town. Definitely will be back!“

“I really enjoyed my visit to this spot for a quick bite recently. The vibe is super laid back, making it a great place to just relax and have a drink without a lot of fuss. The food was surprisingly tasty for such a casual setting, and I was genuinely happy with the quality of the meal. “First time here and I was pleasantly surprised. The drinks were good, strong and inexpensive. The food was even better. Definitely a favourite of mine when I want a good drink and some food with it. I had the pork chop sandwich with fries and it was good. Seasoned and fried just right. Definitely two thumbs up for me. The staff were quick and attentive which was really good since the place was a bit crowded. Easy to get too ... right off of 210. Check it out if you haven't.“

“I went at noon and it was not crowded at all, and it was quiet, a big bonus for me these days. No loud music and people shouting in order to converse over it. The food was very good, very fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant for Asian fusion cuisine and sushi.“

“I recently spent a week in Washington, DC, with 38 colleagues from our agency. Each evening after work, many of us explored some great spots around the city, like Old Ebbitt, The Hamilton, Joe’s Seafood, Le Diplomate, and Off The Record. While those places were all impressive, I found myself returning every night to Capitano Restaurant at the Canopy Hilton on The Wharf.
The people, not just the food or atmosphere, were what kept me coming back. I enjoyed one of the friendliest and most welcoming vacation experiences, thanks to the people at Capitano. Every visit seemed more like hanging out with friends than just going out to eat, and every discussion felt genuine. Meeting new people and having deep conversations was also made easier by the laid-back atmosphere, which eliminated the bustle and commotion that are often present in crowded restaurants and bars.
Nights like that just show you that great service is all about the people. The crew over at Capitano was the main reason I couldn't wait to swing by every night. If you ever find yourself in DC looking for good food, a great vibe, and a staff that makes you feel totally at home, you seriously need to drop in.“

“Just stopped in to have a drink before the KC and the Sunshine Band concert at the MGM. Got a Japanese new fashion. The Japanese new fashion was a tad bit sweet but well enjoyed because old-fashions is where I live. Cuvasin was well accepted. Hope we can come back and try again because we did not order food“

“The Hideaway for those unaware is a true staple in the Clinton MD area. Just happened to stop post for a night cap to close this out. I figured a cool Saturday with pool hall vibes was the go. Little did I know, there was a whole interactive karaoke event going on, and everybody seemed to be in on it, I had no idea. When I tell you... VIBES were had, they were. The bartender Noelle was so sweet, I have her literally half my checking account in tips because she made me feel so at home. Really sweet lady to rock a full bar single handed no sweat. There was a Chef in the back named Shula who was phenomenal with the food. And I thought the DJ was just a lame guy at first, but DJ John was actually lit! Mind you, this is before I could get the first sip down. Very easy to miss, but very hard to forget... The Hideaway.“
