“I love a good ole Charlie's steak and cheese close to my house . The steakum is pretty well seasoned. The chicken & cheese is pretty good as well as the flavorful wings. Always hot and fresh. The strawberry lemonade it bomb ! The staff is friendly and professional. I hate the ppl hounding for money outside everytime I go but overall pretty good place.“

“This is THE spot for a very good reliable cheesesteak. It's clean during the lunch rush. They open on time and my order is always right. Sandwiches are always seasoned well. Cost is reasonable. Staff are good spirited. You don't need some YouTuber telling you what a good cheesesteak is. You have it in your neck of the woods.“

“I visited this restaurant two days in a row after seeing the menu online. The first day I ordered a cheesesteak and tangy bbq wings. The sub was delicious but had little steak on it. They need to do better with the portion size of meat if they want to be a great cheesesteak house. The wings were just okay but nothing to brag about. On the second day I tried the medium double pepperoni pizza which was amazing. This is a great location for pizza. I will certainly return here for the pizza as it is worth the visit. I saw a picture of the pizza online and it looked very flavorful. I hoped the picture was authentic and after getting my pizza, I confirmed it was. The pizza looked just as flavorful as I saw online and it also tasted as great as I hoped!“

“First fast food that didn't disappoint me. They actually cook right in front of you to create a very good, quality hot sub. The piece de resistance is home-made lemonade WITH LITTLE PIECES OF PEACH IN THE BOTTOM THAT ARE SMALL ENOUGH TO COME RIGHT IN THROUGH THE STRAW. OR BLUEBERRY OR STRAWBERRY. “I’ve been to Tokoa about a dozen times now and every time I order their house cheesesteak. The problem is that this house cheesesteak changes about twice a month. I’ve seen it go from “The Steak” to “TK Cheesesteak” a handful of times now. With every name change, the sandwich itself changes too.

Last month, when it was “The Steak”… Holy Jeebus. It was probably the greatest meaty amalgamation one could ever ask for. It had tender, perfectly seasoned chunks of steak, lettuce, tomato, house sauce, melted garlic butter and it was topped with fried onions. I must’ve ordered this sandwich about 5 times in the span of a week or two. I even made a fool of myself and tried to order a large size (which they didn’t have for this version). I would do anything for that sandwich.

As of this month, it’s back to the “TK Cheesesteak”. This is your typical thinly-sliced steak with provolone and the usuals. Is it more true to a real Philly cheesesteak? Sure, and it’s still a pretty damn good one.

But nothing compares to “The Steak”.

I can’t speak to the rest of the menu, but it’s clear that the food here is made-to-order, super fresh, and sprinkled with love. Good stuff.“

“Ordered Taylor Gourmet on Uber Eats. It came up as a black owned business near me so of course I wanted to check it out to support. And the food was great! I ordered the California Avenue sandwich. I should have gotten a regular size but I got a large and it is just that. A Large 😂 I also tried the cracked spuds and they were ok. Would def eat here again ! Thanks for the freshness“

“Came here to rectify another Cheesesteak disaster from a shop in Silver Spring. Charlie's Cheesesteaks does not disappoint. A consistent experience with friendly staff that never skimps on their quality. Thanks for saving my tastebuds. I don't have pictures this time since I inhaled the food?. “I went here in January on a trip from North Dakota. It was the first and only time I have eaten at a Charleys and it was easily the best philly steak I have ever eaten in my life. The guy that took my order was very nice and reminded me of the recently deceased rapper Takeoff from the Migos, RIP, because of the way he looked and because of the way he was enjoying his job singing and dancing behind the register. I am writing this review because I am coming back soon and I cant stop thinking about it and I cannot wait to eat it again.The sandwich: I got the Bacon 3 Cheesesteak To start the steak on it was cooked to perfection and the flavor was immaculate, the bacon was such a perfect topping to the sandwich because it added that savory bacon flavor that everybody likes, the provolone was melted to absolute perfection on top of the meat, it was the best temperature not too hot or too cold and you could tell that it was fresh and melted in my mouth, the shredded cheddar was the same as the provolone, the lettuce was fresh and crunchy and added some nice freshness to the cheesesteak, I asked to keep the tomatoes off because I cant stand the taste of them and Takeoff made sure to let the cooks know to leave the tomatoes off the sandwich, the mayo was spread to such a precise coverage on the top of the bun, not too much in a bite but just the perfect amount, it covered all of the sandwich but did not drip mayo like rain, and the pickle was the best addition to the sandwich on the Earth.The fries: The food was so good I went there twice in two days, and the first day I threw my fries away because I did not know that they were under my sandwich, but the second time I knew where to look because my friend was smart enough to find the fries, but it did not matter that i lost them the first time because they were amazing the second time. They had the perfect amount of crispiness to fluffy on the inside ratio, salted perfectly, and they were the perfect size.The workers: The first day was when Takeoff was working, he made the experience so much better because he was dancing and rapping my order to the cook which was pretty cool the dancing movements also made me happier because it was funny. The cooks moved at a great pace, I almost didnt eat there because of the lengthy line it had but it took no longer than 10 minutes to get from the end of the line to getting my food. They worked so effieciently but so well at the same time. They deserve a raise if I am being quite honest, especially Takeoff.The drink: I got a strawberry lemonade and it was also great, it wasnt too sweet or too sour and it was a good temperature.When I come back I hope to see Takeoff still working there because he was great, if I see him I am getting a picture with him for sure.Thank you.“

“Its in a co op or cloud kitchen you order online and they bring it to your table. They also have a bar thats playing great country music. Enjoyed my burger with onion ring inside and the special sauce was nice. Delicious frys. Banana pudding was yummy too.“
